Just wondering why I am not hearing any Russian MX beacons on 16MHz this evening, have logged MX beacons on 20, 13, 10 & 8MHz between 0400-0915z but not one has been noted on 16MHz so far, have they gone off air?
Hearing XSQ China on 16.854MHz CW and the HLO beacon on 16.990MHz CW so my receiver is OK.
Weird, maybe they are off the air for some reason? ???

Same again this afternoon and evening, not one Russian MX beacon heard on 16MHz CW, Astrakhan loud and clear on 20MHz also three audible on 13MHz. So propagation is there.
Three Chinese beacons and two South Korean marine beacons noted on the upper end of 16MHz CW, so band is open and my receiver is fine!
Very odd indeed.
Around 0450z I thought I heard a "data burst" on 16.332.0MHz but it was very brief. No beacons.

The beacons are back on 16MHz today, strange about their absence over the past two days despite propagation available and MX beacons heard either side on 20MHz & 13MHz...very odd.

Possibly site upgrades; antenna and or feedline maintenance. The Russian military has been given many rubles for upgrades lately by the Kremlin.

Odd that they would take all locations at the same time rather than do them in stages, you are probably right, thanks for you input. ;)
