1410 Just got back from a hamfest and checked out the band, already DX from the UK, Jolly Roger 135 heard on ch 36L.
1440 Sounds like locals using Ch 36 AM for traffic control
1600 The band is pretty dead now except for locals.

Wow. Just turned on 27.385 in worked Washington State. Hearing OR as well. The band has been a bit up and down, but the  West coast is coming in pretty good.

Worked CA just now, very cool, but what a mess... I welcome the mess over static though.

Thanks for the tip! hearing lots of stations now, someone from San Diego CA on 38L mentioned the band just came alive half an hour ago.

Lots of activity. Can't get a word in edgewise though. My 100 watts and dipole aren't getting it. ....... I meant 12 watts into a dipole

Conditions are good, but not for me. I'm done calling CQ, wish everyone the best of luck though.
