I knew Del Shannon was long dead, but I never knew how. Bonnie Raitt's cover of "Runway" topped Del's original and she was much easier on the eyes. I do like those redheads.
Bonnie did a lot to dispel the reputation Howlin' Wolf was mean as she toured a lot with him on the blues/folk circuit. She said he was a big, hard looking man, who didn't take a lot of crap, but he was a nice, well liked man. His size and his looks made people think he was mean.
