There's small desktop loop, with a black plastic frame and copper magnet wire  that shows up in the Amazon ads at the bottom of the page. When I bought mine it was made by Tecsun, but it's the same loop. It's a good performer and will hook up w/the enclosed cable to your portable's antenna jack. You tune it with a knob on the side.

For stations like that one in MO, it could make a big difference.

It's sold as the ETON NGAN 200 these day's, it was at the bottom of the page when I logged in. Same as the Tecsun I bought  a decade ago. It's a good little mini loop.

Bought my Tecsun AN-200 back around 2019. Best twenty bucks I spent all year.

They're a lot of bang for the buck.

You can plug a "longwire" antenna into the output jack on the base of the loop and then use the loop to inductively couple the wire antenna to a portable radio that otherwise has no means of external antenna connection.  You lose much of the directional capability of the loop but in some cases the wire antenna will grab more signal.
