This is the 1620 nonstop music pirate. This pirate has several formats, including classic soft rock and golden oldies from the 60's and 70's. The beautiful music/easy listening music format is usually Sunday nights, but obviously this operator follows his/her own schedule. Listening from Florida tonight on W3HFU's Westminster, MD kiwiSDR. Great signal. All the usual stuff like 0258 Top of the World (Carpenters}, which was apparently the last song of the night as I'm posting this. Now at 0302 UTC only Cubans on 1620.

The regular 1620 nonstop music pirate is on with the usual Sunday night easy listening music format. Mostly a good to sometimes very good signal, with occasional deep fades. Definitely dominant. 0244 A summer place, 0247 Maria Elena, 0250 Yes, I'm Ready.

The nonstop music pirate is on Friday night with a golden oldie soft rock format. Pretty good signal here in WNY, the most dominant station on the frequency. Not sure what time it came on tonight, but I tuned in exactly at 0100 UTC and heard Sentimental Lady (Bob Welch), 0102 My Special Angel (The Vogues), 0105 Rhinestone Cowboy (Glen Campbell), 0109 Darling be home soon (The Lovin' Spoonful), 0112 Kiss you all over (Exile). As usual, no talk, no ID, just nonstop music. 0212 Music Box Dancer (Frank Mills) was the last song for tonight. Off at 0215.

Good signal this week, dominant over the Cubans. 0113 UTC - Maria (Roger Williams), 0115 Moon River (Andy Williams), 0118 Born Free (James Last), 0120 Go Away Little Girl (Steve Lawrence). 0122 Swedish Rhapsody (Hans Zimmer).

Nice! I'm glad someone else has heard this one. I first logged it last May and have heard it most Sunday nights ever since. Sometimes the operator skips a week or two.

The nonstop music pirate is back with oldies format, 0209 UTC - Summer Breeze, Seals and Croft, 0213 I'd Love You To Love Me - Lobo. Signal mostly fair, sometimes good, but strong/very strong QRM from Cuban R. Rebelde. Inaudible for long stretches tonight but then it comes back in for a while. 0220 Listen to the Music - Doobie Bros, 0224 Hitchin' A Ride - Vanity Fare. 0307 Do You Know What I Mean - Lee Michaels. No ID ever, just music.

Fair to good here in WNY and mostly above the usual QRM, playing a mix of softer golden oldies and mostly easy listening music standards from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. 0159 UTC Spanish Harlem, 0202 UTC Calcutta. 0240 QRM getting stronger. 0249 Lollipops and Roses. 0253 A Walk in the Black Forest.

The Sunday night nonstop easy-listening music pirate is back tonight, undoubtedly the same operator that was on last night with golden oldies. I tuned in to 1620 at 0055 UTC and it was already on the air, so not sure exactly when the transmission began tonight. But here is what I monitored so far:  0055 O Dio Mio - Annette Funicello, 0058 Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White - Eddie Calvert, 0101 Theme from Summer of '42 - Peter Nero. Fair to good to very good, definitely the most dominant station on the frequency, well above the usual Cubans/R. Rebelde. 0103 Impossible Dream - Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, 0106 Jerusalem - Herb Alpert, 0109 Midnight Cowboy - Ferrante & Teicher. Still on the air with a mostly very strong signal tonight here in WNY. I am monitoring as usual with my Airspy Discovery and AD sloper. 0119 Wonderland By Night - Bert Kaempfert...Still on the air at 0229 but QRM is now more noticeable with deeper fades. A Cuban sometimes breaks through on top. 0230 Release Me - Englebert Humperdinck.

The nonstop music pirate is back on Saturday night, this time with a golden oldie format once again. Mostly poor to fair, good peaks (S9+36). 0126 Celebrate (Three Dog Night), 0128 Reach out for Me (Dionne Warwick), 0131 My Cherie Amour (Stevie Wonder), 0134 San Francisco (Scott McKenzie), 0139 Imagine (John Lennon), 0144 One Fine Day (The Chiffons). You never know when this guy will pop up! Not sure when he came on the air tonight, or when he will stop for the night. 0149 Unchained Melody (The Righteous Bros). 0154 Stoned Soul Picnic (The Fifth Dimension). Still on the air as I post this 0156UTC. Stepped away from my radio for a bit. 0217 I'll Be Around (The Spinners), 0218 Lazy Day (Spanky & Our Gang) ... Still on the air as I post again with Homeward Bound (Simon & Garfunkel) 0222UTC. Checked back at 0300UTC, off the air sometime prior.

The nonstop music pirate is back, this time on a weeknight. Noticeably absent this past Sunday night. 0107 - Best of My Love (The Emotions), 0110 - Groovin' (The Young Rascals), 0113 Come and Get It (Badfinger)... It came on about an hour earlier than usual. The signal was poor to fair during the first hour, noticeably improved after 0200. It is on the air as I am writing this. Soft golden oldies mostly from the 60's and 70's. 0230 Yes, I'm Ready (Barbara Mason), 0232 - The Dis-advantages of You (The Orchestral Academy of Los Angeles) - last song of the night. Off at 0234. An early sign-off tonight. Still silent as of 0326.

The nonstop music pirate was apparently not on the air last night 16 JAN 2023. Monitored 1620 kHz periodically from 0200 UTC to 0530. Nothing but the Cubans were audible at this location (Western NY).

The usual Sunday night nonstop music bootleg/pirate is back on after a two-week hiatus for Christmas and New Year's Day, both of which fell on Sundays. This time it is with more of a softer golden-oldies format rather than mostly instrumental easy listening music. Fair to good signal, well above the Cubans. It came on later than usual tonight. I first noticed it at 0248 UTC with Puppy Love, 0250 Tonight I Fell In Love, 0252 On Broadway. As usual it's nonstop music, no ID.

It came on later than usual tonight. 0248 Puppy Love, 0250 Tonight I Fell In Love, 0252 On Broadway. As usual it's nonstop music, no ID.
