i`ve only heard them the one time.
i found out about 170meters in a couple youtube videos.
westminster ? i know where that is - i`m about 8 - 10mi. south of d.c. in ft. wahington, md.
also,  wow ! you have some serious antenna`s !   i`m currently using a 30ft wire up a tree outside my lo-noise listening area in the garage.  i`m planning to run a longer antenna over the garage to a tall tree in the backyard.  might be able to get 200ft in the air.
i have basic receivers, a  pl-330  and an eton elite traveller.

i don`t know if this qualifies as a  mw pirate -
1770khz am  on the 170meter band
talked like a community oriented station.
tuned in at 2133 thru 2156utc and ended abruptly without an i.d.
likely from washington, d.c. or nearby maryland (montgomery / p.g. counties ) ?

2 guys carrying on like wild old days of cb radio, yelling handles and other nonsense.

also

3201khz am at 1920utc, 2 guys talking but in normal fashion.
signal was very weak and very noisy
could detect talk but not understand what

i`m new at this with numbers type stations -
18082khz usb was transmitting a series of c.w. signals for about 15min.
does anyone know anything about this freq being used by a numbers station ?

Utility / unid air traffic control usb 13297khz 0018utc nov 14 2024

air traffic control, copied first at 1802utc then later at 0018utc, good signal but i did not hear an i.d., one communication referenced san juan.  some other  brief station to air messages, status checks and such.  by their nature these messages can be very intermittant as i found out today.

found this by accident while looking for pirates.
it was a continous series - 20 pings then a brief pause with pings repeating.
monitored from 0157 to 0215utc  using a pl-330 w/30ft wire.
