That's telling them, Mr. Fansome.  That news will have Steve Jobs rolling in his Cryogenic vat.

I do hope he doesn't disturb Mr. Disney.

I understand the standard way is for the authorities to be notified by my cousin,Jerry Mike Graves.

By the by,what alias is Jerry Mike using this fine afternoon?

3
Careful lads, that JTA fellow will kick your ass. He carries a step-ladder in case such situations arise.

6925.2? Why that's the frequency of the crystal that Kracker uses in his Commando.

All the way to the Ukraine from ...... I can't say, but he'll be thrilled he made the hop on 20 watts.

Touche',Mr. Martin. I haven't heard the term "Tuckahoe" used in years. It gave me a good laugh.

You must be a true Son of The South.

Thank you for the most informative post,Mr. Fansome. You're a credit to the hobby.

After an emergency conference call this morning, the board of our family association, has voted Jerry Micheal Graves out of the family.

We express our apologies to any one harmed by Jerry's actions, those actions, were and are, reprehensible.

From this time on he will be referred to as "Peckerwood Pat" by all family members,so they don't have to dirty their lips with his name.

You may do as you see fit with him.

That sounds suspiciously like my Cousin.

You're a bit of cynic aren't you,Pigmeat? I find Mr. Fansome to be a scholar and gentleman of the old school. You on the other hand remind me of the Indians and Melungeons that live in the mountains above and around Roanoke, wild and surly.

You could learn much from Mr. Fansome's example.

So you're my dear Cousin's nemesis? You seem like a nice fellow, why else would you warn Mr. Smolinski of the grave dangers of SDR's?

Do you think my Cousin could have one of the receivers featured in the link? It would explain his erratic behavior.

No wonder you're famous far and wide.

(The hacker group that is,not the fellow who posts on Mr. Faux's most interesting blog.)

This causes me some concern for my dear Cousin. I'm afraid they'll extend their campaign to people who falsely accuse people of pedophilia? As many people in the pirate radio world are also hackers, and my Cousin has many "enemies",it has me fretting.

Ol' Peckerwood could be in a world of trouble if "Anonymous" was made aware of him and his antics,re;the NAMBLA attacks on his "enemies".

I'm know you good folks wouldn't think of doing such a thing, but others might? Mums the word.
I thank you.

That would be a woodpecker,my clever young friend. A peckerwood is a term originated by Africans, brought here as slaves, for the low class White folks they encountered.

My cousin haunts the environs of the hamlet of Peckerwood Level, collecting cans and hubcaps along the roadside to sell to buy the cheap gin he so dearly loves. One of his cousins heard about it,combined with the "Commander's" talk radio name, and dubbed him "Peckerwood Pat". The name fit the "Commander" like an old pair of shoes.

Please let me know if he starts acting up again. The family has been contacted by a fellow of the Medical College of Virginia who wishes to study Cousin Peckerwood's brain. The first step is to catch him,so the Doc can remove it.

Ahhhh.....so it's not poets in general?

From what my cousin says, you broadcast from your parents basement? So does the "Commander",or he did until they put him out for conduct unbecoming a member of the FFV. The incident involved the "Commander",a pygmy goat, and the "Commander's" late father discovering the two in what appeared to be a compromising position.

His daddy signed him up for the Marine Corps the next day.

It didn't cure him. He came back with a strange obsession with rabbits, primates, rodents and whatever a Fansome may be?

I'm worried the boy is heading for another breakdown. Watch your livestock.

Hmmmm.......  I see the "Commander" has gone off again,re;his blog.

He seems to conveniently forget that our family were some of the largest slave owners in both Virgina and Kentucky? What do they say about pointing fingers? That four point back at you?

My dear cousin seems to have missed that critical lesson.

Equipment / Re: how can i in-hanse my long wire performance

Try a 9:1 balun at the feedpoint. It's the traditional solution to improving longwire performance. Several vendors sell them,or if you're handy, you could wind one,it's fairly straight forward and easy to do.

My name is Taliaferro Greaves. I'm and old SWL living in Virginia. I want to thank you for allowing me to join your group. Perhaps you've encountered my cousin, who uses the nom de guerre,Commander Bunny?

I've been asked by my nephew,Winston Greaves, and his cousin,Thumper Graves,to keep an eye on the "Commander". As he's often mentioned on this board,I thought this would be a good place to start. Also, this Fansome person he keeps going on about, seems to be a moderator here.

Any help you could give me regarding my poor cousin will be appreciated.

One last note, per the request of my brother, Mosby Greaves, is on how to handle him should you encounter him. The "Commander" responds to his old family nickname,"Peckerwood Pat". It seems to calm him. Feed him and put him on the bus to Norfolk. Mosby will pick him there and reimburse you for your expenses.

My family and I thank you.
