you could go on ebay and buy up a bunch of ft 243 crystals and grind them up to the freq you want.
of course the freqs won't be perfectly centered, but this is pirate radio you are talking about.
if it was perfectly on freq and predictable it wouldn't be any fun. kinda like listening to a lulu wobbling along in the distance  ;)
if you are worried about parts being traced you could act real paranoid and grind all the part numbers and markings off them
so no one can tell what value the parts are or get numbers off them  ;)

should i even mention wearing gloves while building and handling transmitters that you don't want traced back to you  :o
finger prints show up really well on homebrew circuit boards and the insides of the boxes they are put in OOOPSY  ???

 :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X
it's a shame that you have to fear others in the hobby more than you do the gmen

yup hearing this on my 11m mobile with a transverter using a simple wire groundplane antenna hanging from a tree limb roughly 8ft off ground at the bottom . that puts the tip at roughly 16ft.

BTW, the oddest thing happened the day after this thread turned up. One of the local heathens stashed a mountain bike in the bushes next to my house. It's a sign from the Radio Gods.

can you still ride a bike :D
