There is a 398 on ebay for parts, they said it receives but for 10 dollars who knows.

I need something to use for lw also, the tescun 600 is poor on that band and it eats batteries like drinking a coke..

You do not need your tnc just download mixw or multipsk and it has amtor on it. I haven't heard an AMTOR  station for a number of years.

If I were you I would not drag it out, just download a free software program that covers all the digital modes such as fldigi or multipsk, just have to put a cable into the speaker plug and into the computer.

Also I have noticed that a number of MEXICAN stations are running psk31 in freeband or cb, how nice!

I never heard the beacon. Although propagation has been the pits.

If someone made those hifer beacons, plug and play, would be nice, just think someone would here a string of those.

MW Loggings / MW/1220 OLDIES

ANYONE  hear the oldies nightly on 1220 around 0400 nightly, they play one after another very,very loud in here<INDIANA> , the MW directory lists wgny in NEW YORK  but lists only 180 watts and this certainly isn't 180 watts more like 10 thousand...they read s9 plus nightly..
