Thanks for another great show. Your signal is always sooooo good.
Tonight, even the stingy ol' R-70 gave you an S9+5
I really am impressed w/your engineering - always a strong sig
w/excellent audio and full modulation. I had been listening for a while
and doing some other projects around here but when your SSTV came on,
I sat down and watched it come down and the sync pulse was RIGHT ON 1200!
You signal was right on 6950, too.

FWIW: I could see the carrier but only VERY faintly hear whoever was
rebroadcasting you on 8060

1828 - unk mx, possibly pan pipes? Just a little above the noise. I could hear it but mostly couldn't
see it on the monitor - I may be an OM (literally! :)) but I still have right good hearing.
I started Audacity running in case there might be an ID or 1830 s/on but no joy. :(
Anyway, whoever you are, wherever you are, you did get into here at near noon local time...
FWIW: I usually keep the rcvr parked on 6925 USB with the volume turned way down.

3
0230 - reasonable sig. OM talking about shortwave radio and maybe tuning around and retransmitting stations(?)
RS 47. Now talking about Win10 - BTW: Microsoft is wearing me out with nags to upgrade to Win10!
Thanks for a new station and thanks to the others here on HFU for making me aware of MAC; it's freq
is not in my usual "RF Neighborhood"
0239 - "Whip It"
0250 - sig seems to be improving but clouds and QRN increasing >:(

Putting in a good sig (RS 46) into here tonight with a little crud just above. An interesting station.
Thanks, Tom.

Thanks for another great show WR! As always, a strappin' signal with great audio - and great mx selections also.

A bouquet of flowers to you as well. "Flower Power", as we used to say! :)

You were a good 555 for almost all of transmission with just a little QRN getting over you at times.

A Happy Independence Day weekend to one and all.
Tom

I also copied the SecDef message, in CW, from NWVC on 4007 kHz but terrible copy maybe because I tried using the CW filter which I'm not in the habit of using.
Howsomever, I did get a solid copy earlier in the day from AGA5SC, Scott AFB, IL, on 7545 kHz in MFSK-16 mode.
Those are the only 2 instances of the message that I heard! They weren't just weak or QRMed - they were NOT there!!! Rotten propagation???

MDK2 - the other end of those QSOs were in the ham bands as part of the crossband tests. The .pdf sked that I have shows that NWVC was using 6913 kHz
to contact hams on 40 meters 1200 14may16 - 0400 15may16 UTC.

As an aside, I toured LST-325 a few years back when it was docked at Nashville; very interesting and I'm glad it has been preserved.

10
0333 - s/on(?) “15 Men on a Dead Man’s Chest” – started out good but fading into the noise…
0337 – gone. Guess that was all
{edit} Thanks for the mx IDs MDK2
0349 – someone’s back on the freq w/unk mx. Much QSB but sig is good S9 when it’s fading in. Good audio.
0353 – “15 Men”  again
0356 – unk choral mx
0406 - I *think* there is still a station there but it's all but lost in the noise now.

Chris, Yeah, that looks like it but obviously I wasn't paying attention to the time - I just looked up at the monitor and saw it there.
I need to get serious and figure out how to record the SDR-IQ using SpectraView.

DataElite - No, I was doing something else at the time and didn't grab a screen shot but see the shot that Chris posted - that's what I saw.

There seems to be more strange sigs in that part of the spectrum now that Bro. $care has moved.
I usually leave the rcvr centered on 6925, with MMSSTV also running, while I'm putzing around doing other things or sleeping...

What was covering up that much spectrum??? It lasted for ~5 minutes or so (that I saw).

Not to be left out, here's my 2 cents worth!
0241 - SSTV image. Great signal here and mostly way above QRN level
What was the spacey mx that was played ~0255 or so? I just caught a little of it while watching "Nashville" (what else?!); it sounded interesting.

08may16, 0237 - SSTV image

I am reading 6925.650 USB. S8-9 very good sig into here. The level is improving and the freq seems to have stablized.
Whoever you are Thanks and please let me know who is doing this version of "CN"
0233 - Interesting (and good!) cover of Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb"
0239 - "Pee Wee" in CW Ahhhh, "Nights in White Satin" by Moody Blues.Thank you, thank you, thank you! Rain is starting again but so far no lightning and thunder.
