Really interesting recording - I picked up 'Flight following' as the female basestation. 'Speedair' is the ATC callsign for PAL Aerospace, Canada. They are involved in numerous operations including airborne ISR missions. The message is obviously coded.

Hi,

Interesting catch on 11220 with Lajes at 2144Z.
COASTGUARD 2003 (CG2003 HC-130J Elizabeth City) in phone patch with Coastguard Liz City. Flt said he was en-route to St.Thomas ETA0027 (14th). Flt will night stop with refuel tonight or in the morning and depart back to Liz.City tomorrow.

Hi - Glad you liked the logs. I am familiar with many of the frequencies (years of experience!) I did try 8942 and heard something but in my location there are very strong HFDL tones on 8942 that make listening difficult. Once I make the wellbroook loop outside more permanent I'll try and do a bit of listening to the far east. Quite fancy trying some of the Indonesian domestic nets.
I actually have many logs going back to 1977 and I am currently transferring them to a log on my PC. It makes really interesting reading . I'll send you some if you are interested?
