Coming in steady here with music, S = 3 or 4,  0140 just now with canned "Radio Pushka" id, also mentioned something about "Stacey's Station" and then back to some sorta repetitive music (music unknown to me, sounds modern).  Steady S = 3, on R-390 A and sloper dipole at 30 feet, 100 + miles inland from  the Pacific.  Tnx for the show!  Please QSL if you can, via PM!  0150, another ID and more music w/lotsa echo & surf-ish guitar.

Wow, they are at it again on 6990 & 7000 LSB this morning, S = 5 or so on both freqs.  I sure wish that I understood Indonesian dialects, I have been hearing these guys for years & years at / below the bottom end of 40 meters & don't understand word one of it!   Loud w/o fading just now in the Western USA.

Peskies / Indonesian Chanters 7.000 Mhz LSB 22 March 2018 1450 UTC
« on: March 22, 2018, 1512 UTC »
The enigmatic Indonesians are at it again, one station is sorta mumbling away, monologue style, and the other stations then occasionally respond in unison, primary station is S = 3-4 w/o fades (!) and the others are ca. S = 2-3 as a group during response "chants."  They have been at it since at least 1430 UTC when I tuned them initially.  1503 UTC and the "chanting" responses seem to have waned in favor of a sorta lazy two-way with the second station ca. S = 2 and some moderate fading.  Sure wish I understood Indonesian, as these guys are some of my favorite listening targets out here in the Western US!

EDIT:  Sent three or so times, then...silence!

...and they are pinning my S-meter at 20 db over 9 on the rice burner, no fades, fishermen, funny naval data, nuttin' but signal and great audio here in the west coast flatlands of the USA!  Per op Steve, this is a "Legacy Broadcast".  Thank you for the program etc., it has been sorta barren here in my logbook recently!

Well, they WERE on just a minute ago!  S = 7 w/o fading, but with some static crashes, once again nice and wide audio for USB, woman's voice repeating "fuc*ing fade away...fuc*ing fade away...fuc*king fade away..." (I bowdlerized it to save the children's virgin ears or eyes)  followed by a male voice repeating "...it's pee vagina radio...etc." several times and not in falsetto and not set to the "Close Encounters" theme music, followed by...nothing more!   I guess I missed the show!   Oh well, too bad, condx seem pretty good here in the flatlands of the West Coast!  Please  QSL, PPVR!  They (he?) do seem to have stepped it up a bit lately, what with improved audio, program material (of sorts), not pestering other stations during their shows, etc.   Tnx for the program, PPVR!

EDIT:  At 0555 GMT, they're back!  Same signal report, more canned id's, some spoken stuff with piano accompaniment, followed by something echoey & reggae - ey!  Cool....

RTN with S = 5 or 6 and hi-fi audio despite storm static etc. with 1980's music, canned "CoolAM " ID's etc.  As usual here this summer, signal strength gradually getting better as the night progresses, no fades per se...just that darned storm noise!   Listening now on the SP-600 but will shortly switch to the R-390A and the 8 kc. high fidelity filter and run the line output into the old stereo amp etc. As usual, thanks for the program, in another half hour or so you oughta be closing in on S = 9 if previous summer nights are any indication, here in the flatlands of the west coast of the USA.

Osborne White, WMMR etc.

PS:  Mrs. O. W. sez to send her greetings and to mention that she is enjoying the program immensely!  She sorta grew up in the 1980's, whereas I never grew up!

EDITTED:  Sounds like they threw the big switch in the middle of a song at 0730 GMT!  Oh well, no R-390A tonight after all!  TNX RTN for the program!

Pee Pee Vagina Radio just signing off, 0634 GMT after having played Suicidal Tendencies, spoof commercials for "Helen Keller Sings the Blues" record, Montana as a vacation or retirement paradise for guys like Ted Bundy, etc. and various other  parody songs & spoof commercials, along with the usual "ID" of the station name sung to the "Close Encounters" five-note theme.  Unlike previously, VERY good copy here, S-9 + 10 db, no fading, etc.  Some storm static, however, but actually a very nice & wide & hi-fi signal.   PPV Radio seems to be evolving into actually playing program material vs. his old tactic of "pestering" other stations with endless repetitions of the Close Encounters-Pee Pee Vagina schtick.   No QSL info given.  Thanx for the program!  PSE QSL!  From the flatlands of the West Coast, etc....

OK, this gosh darned (inherited from SK old pal) IPad POS keeps erasing my posting before I can manage to actually post it!

Found the following a few minutes ago:

http://transition.fcc.gov/eb/FieldNotices/2003/DOC-320165A1.html

I hope that this "link" works, if not....I can not "copy" and paste with this thing & I thus had to try and type it out from my pencilled notes, and it's late & I am sleepy, very sleepy.....

Been hearing the Colonel for the past half-hour or so with various stuff from the 1980's (mostly)  with a few canned computer-voiced ID's etc., email addy, just heard "Rehab" by Amy Wino, "I Don't Like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats (actually, I don't know the actual song title) and so forth.  S = 6 with noise floor of S= 5, making the computer-voiced  ID's a little tough.   Seems to be the only game in town, at least at my QTH.  Thanks for the show, Colonel Turtlehead!

P.S.:  Heard near Stockton, California

Just caught Radio PeePee Vagina 0622 UTC on 6937 USB, tormenting the poor pescadores with falsetto (badly rendered) Spanish attempts at cuss phrases & the usual "Close Encounters" renditions.  A solid S = 7 at my location on the Left Coast.  Pse QSL!

Okay, here's my first posting:

WPOD "This is WPOD, White Punks On Dope Radio, broadcasting via shortwave radio to North America & the World" etc. (doing this from memory, can't find my scrap of logging paper, so....)  Man's & woman's voices, variously, w/English-ish accents.  Asked for loggings via the world wide web.

Began program at ca. 0530 GMT with repeated clip from Tubes song "White Punks on Dope" (?)

0534 or so, into "Sister Mary Elephant"  by Cheech & Chong
0538 or so, following man & woman ID, requests for reports via WWW etc., longer version of Tubes (?) song
0545 or so, following more ID & requests for reports via WWW etc., , into Talking Heads song "This Ain't No Party, This Ain't No Disco" etc. (obviously different title, but you get the idea, I don't remember the actual title of it!)
0548 or so, ID & sign off, followed by other station / voice (?) "Is that it?"

S = 20 db over S 9 at first, solid S 7 by sign off

Audio pretty "tinny" but punchy / solid, sorta like it'd be if station was using the microphone & speech processor on a riceburner ham box!

Heard at Sacramento California on TS-850 & SP-600 JX, sloper at 35 feet
