Hi,

'Shortwave Radio' is licensed in Germany under the same callsign. With HFCC we are 'Shortwave Radio Services' - which might seem to anoy some dutch pirates, as we take some cooperation programmes under the our lable 'Shortwave Gold', which also has approvement from BNetzA.

Schedule: https://shortwaveradio.de/en/shortwavegold/August2023

3975am and 6160am, any other QRGs are fake.

Thanks for tuning in and your support.

Andy

Clear Id, no email yet. Dutch

S6  iD Above the noise with FM vocalist at 1203 UTC

Nope, it wasn't us. We s/off at 1001UTC exactly, because as we approach mid summers day soon and the daytime damping here in Europe is very high, and it makes no sense to continue during daytime. Keep in mind the electricity costs! Might have been WBCQ you listened to. WBCQ is usually 63 Hertz below channel (FCC allowed 50 Hz, btw). We are 'on spot' +/- 1 Hz using GPS controlled exciter.

Try again during European evenings between 1700 and 2300 UTC on both 3975 and 6160 kHz.

Statement

Hi Owen, and thanks for the thread on this board. Something went terribly wrong. I don't want to go into detail here.

The support group decided to send you another card, which is on its way and to refund your 3 Euro payment. Please send an email or PM me with your Paypal details.

We have quite a lot of regular and irregular listeners which do support us without requesting a QSL. We are here for your listening pleasure and provide shows 7 days a week, including live ones, DX shows and Letterbox programmes. As most of the others do, we are not running any playlists or auto-DJ. This format seems to be highly appreciated and at this point we say thank you to those of you who supported us for the last 5 years.

73's Andy from Winsen - on behalf of our support group

(there will be no further comments from us on this thread)

You definitly listened to WBCQ Maine. They are always 50 Hz / 54 Hz below 6160 kHz. Often causing a hum to Shortwave Radio during fall/winter/spring time. Correspondance about one year ago with Alan Weiner revealed the fact FCC allows US stations up to 50 Hz off channel. They can't do anything about it, cause the transmitter is old and the xtal oven can't be adjusted more accurate. We are only allowed max of 5 Hz off channel.

Harmony from Ireland. Good to hear they are still around.  :D
