Heard the K2ORS 1790 kHz beacon via K3FEF SDR at ~0150Z 02FEB2018. Jean Shepherd was on WOR in NYC in the 50's. Used to listen to him as a kid in NJ (W2OPB) with a Foxhole Radio at night. Ground wave DX 15 miles Maplewood to Carteret (WOR's QTH at the time I think).

Spy Numbers / CW on 6827 at 0330z 9april

Heard two stations using hand sent morse straight key (very poor fists) sending QRK reports, testing (dashes), also /GR/GR  then QRN took over.
freq=6827kHz, time: 11:30 EDT 0330z   9 APRIL 2011
Anybody else heard this before?  my QTH is East coast.

Last fall here in the Northeast, I heard one exactly on 1812kHz, active for several days.  Have not heard any since, suspect due to winter season.

yup, it's 4XZ.  I generally tune to 4331 to see how propagation is to the middle east and usually hear VVV VVV VVV DE 4XZ 4XZ etc.  I think some of this is unencrypted weather data in some standard format.
