Indeed.

Must have been on his mind for some time and looks to be his first post.

Nothing better to do perhaps?

Just to say I'm very serious about CE certification.

Does one not realise designs change/improve (years on)?

Possibly best to vent your issues whatever they maybe elsewhere.

No worries.

Oh dear!

The ONLY ignorant person would be yourself.

Anyway Im not going to enter into any argument with you but just to say I'm certainly no fraud.

No idea who you are and you certainly cant tell me or the 'ignorant' (rather rude!) Folk on here what to do either.

WTF!

I'm not advertising anything and no idea who you are.

My latest offering wont be advertised on here and I've gone on to design equipment that Im sure anyone would be happy with and many are.

New markets are opening up around the globe as countries are actually allowing hobby broadcasting on SW and Im currently in the process of getting a 250W design CE approved, similar to the FCC.

So there!

Please go away and stop your negative comments.

Thank you!

Most of the schematics in the net are very old and not of much use. Youll be better looking at the stuff on the Class E website for ideas and the CMCD stuff from W1VD is a good place to start.

100W (carrier), you'll need 2 devices if you have 96V. I find it a bit less scary to use 4 devices and 48V. Either will give 400W pep.

Lots of great devices around, the latest GaN being the best but the SiC devices are much cheaper and good enough.

Let us know what you decide on.

Im bored now.

You 'Septics' do go on some.

Fact remains, you've built nowt (not u RH).

Just give it a rest.

The stuff your wibbling in about is ages old.

Way past all that now.

The RF Workbench / Distance with 10W on A.M. (M.W.)
« on: December 30, 2023, 1826 UTC »
Just had some feedback from a customer running a 10W carrier tx with a simple 8' base loaded antenna and moderate earth system.

5 miles with radio able to auto detect, 15 miles with manual tuning with signal detectable upto 35 miles.

Not bad!

Thought it best to put this up for reference as do get asked this question a lot!

Cheers

Thanks for the +ve reply

Yes there seems only one -ve commenter on here so you'd have to be stupid to believe anything he's says.

He's just jealous!

Probably my best year for sales and some great feedback from customers particularly ones who run my units 24/7.

Seasons greetings to all (except you know who!)

Here's to 2024.

 :)

Not sure what he's  doing but don't believe you can use class E for audio, class D maybe?

Dont know the power levels but class D modulator for 500W is around an inch sq and barely gets warm as eff is 95+%.

Can you provide more info.
