Hi ! I did not try other radio but I was using an Airpsy HF+ not a poor dongle ; so there's no doubt the signal was real.
It's currently visible running a Kiwi SDR located in south UK : http://kernow.hopto.org:8073/

Longwave Loggings / UNID 19.1 kHz

Who is Xmitting on 19.1 kHz ?
Solid signal in south-east France yesterday evening. Nothing listed on https://www.mwlist.org/vlf.php

An old article mentions the "Arkhangelsk VLF transmitter" on this frequency, but I'm sure it's not this one (too loud).
I also found : "The transmitter (...) was identified as HWV transmitter in St Assise, France, which operates at 20.9 kHz, aliased to 19.1 kHz" but there was nothing on 20.9 at the same time.

Thanks
Pat

I suppose it's an easy catch from your northern location, but quite a tough one here, in the heart of the Alps ;-)
So I can't tell about the lower signal.

Have a nice Easter.

MW Loggings / Radio Free Africa, Tanzania, 1377 kHz
« on: March 26, 2016, 0826 UTC »
Hi Pals !

Personal first for me last night : I finally caught Radio Free Africa from Tanzania.
Not a huge signal, but clear enough to IDent the program (several IDs heard after the recording).
Typical african music and very talkative DJ speaking over the tracks !

Here the clip : https://youtu.be/EH6RQn7HEqM

Have a nice Easter

Not a major DX, but nice to catch though :

Huge signal yesterday evening, using a 7 meters long wire hooked to my old Sony 2001D.
No ID heard so far ...

No idea at all unfortunately. Reception was fine here, but there's no ID on my 5 minutes IQ recording.

6964.81 is QBC International.

Thanks Joe.
Well, I'm quite happy with it  ;) Noise level is pretty high here, and picking up a non-EU free station is cool !

Sorry for the silly question : where is this station located ?
Heard for the 1st time last night - very weak due to huge background noise.

Hello Group,

I also came accross this one, last night at  2302z, playing non-stop guitar music, no ID.
Accurate frequency : 6967.14. quite loud in the french Alps

At the same time, a bit weaker but peaking same level, I noticed another programm on 6964.81. There was an ID + email address but I couldn't get it ... something like CBC international
Then a pop-song, maybe by Placebo.

Any idea ?
Patrick, south-east France
