One minute after CDO signed off this station signed on - playing rock instrumental - left shack for a minute - came back and heard female announcer going back to music - missed the ID - recording now...

Strong signal here in N Florida - off the air -suddenly at 03:16

First episode of the new international shortwave radio show that I host, Radio New Music - this recording has flaws! That's because it's the actual audio as recorded off-the-air and has all the coolness / weirdness of radio and - shortwave radio in particular.

This includes random ionospheric events, phase distortion and shifting, signal fading, interference, etc. You are hearing the earth's magnetic and electrical fields and the greater cosmos itself - galactic cosmic rays - organically interacting with the broadcast.

This is a tapestry of outstanding original artists not available anywhere else - embraced and kissed by the cosmos.

Radio Vanuatu - 11835 kHz - South Pacific - this is the third harmonic of their 3945 kHz transmitter fundamental. This is a re-log from last night - only much stronger right now - heard sign on at 06:00 sharp. Solid ID over the air- easily matched to their online stream.

"ODX" - 13566.5 kHz CW - 22 meter Part 15 beacon running only 5 mW - yes 5 milliwatts of transmitter power!!! Beacon is operated by ham station VA3ODX. 5 mW is only 1/200th of a single watt! 932 miles from my QTH.

HJAT-Caracol Radio Barranquilla - Barranquilla, Colombia 15KW-1100 kHz - very strong in Florida tonight

Got super clear ID - twice - within just a few seconds of each other - and totally dominating the frequency over 50KW WTAM in Cleveland.

34 second YouTube clip starts with music from Caracol Radio and at :12 seconds in they give the first ID - then at :24 seconds in they play their ID "stinger" music and then give another clear "Caracol Radio" ID:
