S7 with the Whidbey Island, Washington KiwiSDR. SINPO 35333 direct (very poor).

0141 UTC-Mambo Ay Ay Ay by Xavier Cugat and His Orchestra
0144 UTC-Captain Jack by Billy Joel
0153 UTC-Bud Bigly talking, barely audible direct
0153 UTC-Syeeda's Song Flute (feat. Tommy Flanagan & Paul Chambers & Art Taylor) by John Coltrane, reception getting decent now

0345 UTC-I have to listen to the recording later, just a weak carrier on the KiwiSDR I was using. Weak traces of voice on the Maui, Hawaii KiwiSDR now. Good S7 with the Northern Utah KiwiSDR. No sign of anything direct.

0159 UTC-Radio Drama?
0213 UTC-OFF in the middle of the program

I was not at home when I heard this, but I did get a recording (a few of them). Signal was very weak on the PY2-81502 and PY2GN KiwiSDRs in Brazil.

2121 UTC-I was checking for Golden Oldies when I noticed someone in the Users list of the PY2-81502 KiwiSDR in Brazil listed as "oldiesRadio" (Pedro Velho, Brazil) tuned to 21485.10 kHz AMN. I tuned there and found a weak signal with severe drift and modulation issues.
2126 UTC-I think it was this time when the signal came back on after being off for a minute or so, this time with something that could actually be described as AM. At some point between 2126 UTC and 2142 UTC "oldiesRadio" started listening on the same frequency using the PY2GN KiwiSDR in Brazil
2127 UTC-I can hear some weak music coming through now on the PY2GN KiwiSDR
2142 UTC-Now "oldiesRadio" is listening on 15010.05 amn, but no signal heard there and "oldiesRadio" stopped listening less than a minute after tuning to that frequency
2155 UTC-Some time before now the station went off the air

Recording (the others were unusable): https://archive.org/details/oldies-radio-br-21485v-am-2127.04-utc-11-jan-2023-py-2-gn

S7 but weak with the PY2GN KiwiSDR in Brazil. Very happy to hear this station again, it had been off air since August 2022!

2358 UTC-Peruvian music
0002 UTC-Next song, no ID heard but I was switching around SDRs at 2359 UTC so I probably just missed it
0009 UTC-Man talking, weak but sounds like an indigenous language (Quechua?)

757
Exact frequency is 6145.24 kHz. S5 this morning on the PY2GN KiwiSDR in Brazil. I recorded over night to 1056 UTC (3:56 AM local here), at which point the connection to the SDR seems to have failed. No break from last nights broadcast, just continuing on.

1500 UTC-Easy listening instrumental music
2026 UTC-Still going
2352 UTC-Still going, signal almost useless under the QRM
0438 UTC-Still going, S9 but low modulation
0617 UTC-Modulation nonexistent but still going

758
Exact frequency is 6145.24 kHz. S9 with the PY2GN KiwiSDR in Brazil. Modulation a little too high. Nothing on KiwiSDRs in North America, probably a fairly local station to the PY2GN and PY2-81502 KiwiSDRs in the São Paulo area.

0445 UTC-Male robot voice “Golden Instrumentals, where you hear the greatest instrumentals of all time”
0445 UTC-House of the Rising Sun instrumental
0448 UTC-Next instrumental, faded into the previous one (no silence between tracks)
0457 UTC-Radio Romania International just starting on 6145.00 kHz, now listening on 6145.24 kHz USB to help avoid QRM
0454 UTC-Still going but the QRM is horrible, should end in a few minutes
0455 UTC-James Bond Theme
0456 UTC-QRM now gone, good S9 reception again
0625 UTC-Für Elise

A nice departure from the usual format of Brazilian pirates! I hope this is a new regular pirate, I would like to continue hearing it. I am going to leave the recorder going over night, QRM from Asia might get bad in the morning but I guess I will find out.

Signal is 8/10 on the meter with the 30ish feet of wire in a tall tree. I have heard about these weird broadcasts, only Chinese instrumental music from 2300-0000 UTC with an announcement at 2358 UTC in Portuguese. As far as I know this is the only music-only program on CRI. Curious if they really have people listening to this is Brazil (the target area), or anywhere. I personally enjoy it but the only other time I have heard about this specific program was someone complaining about it in the Worldwide DX Club News and calling it something like "the pointless Chinese elevator music broadcast I often complain about".

2345 UTC-寒鸦戏水 by 蘭維薇
2358 UTC-Man talking in Portuguese, giving frequency and mention of “ondas cortas” (shortwave), other talk
0000 UTC-Time pips cut off, TX still on but no audio

760
S9+10 with the Concord, NH KiwiSDR. Usual RHC distorted but quiet audio.

0337 UTC-Program starting, contact information
0338 UTC-RHC received 3945 letters from listeners in 2022, most reports were in Spanish followed by English, first letter for today is from Algeria
0352 UTC-End of the Mailbag program

S9+10 with the OE6ADD KiwiSDR in Austria.

1946 UTC-The usual instrumental music played by this station (it is here every day and has been for months, used to be blues format. Never any talk from the op but the signal seems to be coming possibly from the Balkans?)

763
S7 with the GB3WB KiwiSDR in the UK. Audio is very poor, even by SSB standards. QRM from a carrier on 6949 kHz.

1716 UTC-Music

S7 with the OH5LIZ KiwiSDR in Finland. Lots of Russian pirates active on this Saturday morning in Russia.

0501 UTC-VIA Band?
0505 UTC-Next song of the same kind, Shazam still no help
0508 UTC-Very upbeat Russian song, not sure what genre I would describe it as (sounds kind of like 50s Rock & Roll)
0515 UTC-Station operator speaking, lots of FMing (but not during music)
0516 UTC-OFF
