Radio Romania International (it is more useful if you use the English name of international broadcasters) does not broadcast on 9666 kHz. The only station on 9666 kHz is Radio Voz Missionaria but is it also possible that the station you heard was on 9665 kHz? There are multiple international broadcasters on that frequency.

This belongs in MW Loggings, not shortwave broadcast.

Huh? / Re: How to save images in MMSSTV?
« on: August 05, 2022, 0320 UTC »
Now I am having a different problem. Some of the images I have decoded do not line up for the whole image (parts of the image are shifted over). It does not happen for all images. For example, all the SSTV's on this page https://www.sigidwiki.com/wiki/Slow-Scan_Television_(SSTV) decode properly with MMSSTV. I tried to see if it had anything to do with static so I added noise to one of the SSTV's from that page in audacity but that did not cause the problem I am having on some other images. The images I have been having problems with are ones received from pirates on 43 meters and hams on 14230 kHz. While some of them have the problem other SSTV's decode without issue.  I have added some images to show the problem. Is there anything I can do about this?

This is a list I have compiled based on loggings here on the HFU. It shows all the identified North American shortwave pirates heard in the month of July 2022. Note that many stations use multiple names so determining the amount of actual transmitters in use is impossible. Some stations are also active so infrequently that they may not have been logged in July but may broadcast in the future.
Stations are listed alphabetically and show the station name followed by the number of loggings in July 2022.

Just a weak carrier on 6925.00 kHz and traces of audio with the LU4AA KiwiSDR in Argentina. The RCW Facebook page says “Ralay de RCI Medios Prensa Radio y TV señal 2. 6925 KHz” (posted 2 hours ago).

I have now got my sound card working and I can decode SSTV images. I recorded about 30 minuets of the SSTV images sent on July 7 and today I played the recording back through the SSTV decoder. The recorded signal was very weak and most of the images showed almost nothing but static. Regardless, I am posting the best (least static) images in case anyone is interested or can tell what any of the things in the pictures are.

Huh? / How to save images in MMSSTV?

I have finally got my sound card working and I can now successfully decode SSTV images with MMSSTV. My problem is that I can’t figure out how to save images as file to my computer. Does anyone know how to?

2356 UTC Just hearing noise here

That’s what I would expect at this time of day if you are in the eastern USA. Radio Pushka’s Facebook page says they are in Phoenix, Arizona and their website says they use 15 watts AM. Even late at night I can only hear an extremely weak carrier at my location and I am likely much closer.
