Exact frequency is 1663.32 kHz. Weak S9 with the SDR Plonsk KiwiSDR in Poland. Unstable carrier and no bass. What makes you think this is not just a music playing freebander? It sounds like that to me because of the unstable transmitter (typical of the Radio Hooligan freebanders) and no bass like a two way radio. A very interesting station.

S9+10 with the K3FEF KiwiSDR. Lots of noise in the background and little bass as if someone is playing songs through a speaker into the microphone near an appliance.

European Pirates and Private Stations / Re: Better not here
« on: July 05, 2022, 1826 UTC »
source: THE EUROPEAN TABLE OF FREQUENCY ALLOCATIONS AND APPLICATIONS IN THE
FREQUENCY RANGE 8.3 kHz to 3000 GHz (ECA TABLE):

6312 kHz (DSC distress traffice). 6312.5, 6313, 6313.5, 6331, 6331.5, 6332 kHz (DSC calling)
Maritime communications EN 300 373 Appendix 17 channeling plan. Appendix 25
allotment plan.
6215 kHz. (Radiotelephony distress and safety traffic).
6268 kHz (Telex distress traffic).
6314 kHz (Maritime Safety Information)
6765 kHz - 7000 kHz Land military systems (e.g. German Bundeswehr army mobile)
6925.5 kHz frequency used by KKN50 (CIA)

... maybe it was a reason of the complaints of German / NATO authorities

Could be. I wonder if those military communications are digital or SSB? The only legal analog communications I have heard in the 43 meter band is MARS (Military Auxiliary Radio Service-USA) and the digital stuff usually obliterates pirates. I have a hard time believing that a low power AM signal caused a problem receiving a high power digital signal. However, it could have interfered with SSB voice.

0159 "Hooked on a Feeling"  Blue Swede  S5

"Ooooga shaka, ooooga shaka"

Who did this originally? I knew a guy who would start cussing and ranting when the Blue Swede cover came on the radio, yelling about how they ruined a great song. I loathed the original, it was so syrupy, but liked the way Blue Swede's version gave it a swift kick in the ass.

According to a google search it was written by Mark James and originally performed by B.J. Thomas.

Thanks for the information! I actually created that page on 29 June 2022. I will update the page with your information. I thought it was first heard in October 2020 because I searched the HFU for “Good Times Radio” and set the search to oldest topics first and the oldest logging I found was from October 2020.

Edit: I have updated the page

QSLs Received / Captain Morgan Shortwave QSL policy?
« on: July 04, 2022, 1902 UTC »
Does anyone know if Captain Morgan still QSL’s? I have sent multiple reception reports to captainmorganshortwave@gmail.com and have revived no reply. The most recent eQSL I have found on this forum from Captain Morgan is this one https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,57141.msg199473.html#msg199473  from August 2019. I have heard Captain Morgan give their email address over the air recently so I would think they are still offering QSL’s. Has anyone revived a reply from him recently or know what his policy on QSL’s is?
