I've heard rumblings on the commercial side as well, surprise inspections seem to be ramping up.  Keep a watchfull eye, gents (and ladies!)

I recall someone in the far realms of the past say it helped in an apartment situation.

There are several rules you don't want to break if you want to stick around.  Spectrum hogging, interference, selling advertising, ect.  It appears it was likely to happen sooner than later.

Transmission ceased @243z.  Time to work on the other antenna.

That tells me what I need to know.

Thanks all.  Keep the radios running just in case.  I'm on to antenna #2 tuning and testing.

we'll do a test.  I'll kill the carrier at 230z, and turn it back on at 232z.  Let me know what you can see.

Unfortunately this xmtr is rocked for 1710, I plan on adding a 1720 crystal soon, but that will be a while.

We are testing a few antenna designs and welcome your reports tonight.  This is a technical program with no live production, but the usually music and liners.  Please let us know if you can hear us tonight despite the poor conditions.

A company I know of was for a while buying in bulk Chinese power fets in an effort to help keep their costs down.  After a year of warranty returns, they decided to have a legit part and a Chinese part X-rayed.  The dies in the competing devices weren't even the same size.  They lost their ass on that one ;)

I always see guys selling fiberglass mast kits at hamfests for $40.  That's what I would do.

I also think, however plausable or not, that the rockies have something to do with it as well.  I don't get a whole lot of reports from the 'left coast' but then again, I don't hear their AM's at night either.
