North American Shortwave Pirate / Radio True North, 6925 and 6940 AM, 0428 UTC, 07-27-2013

At first I thought this was Man Cave Radio, but it turned out to be Radio True North. They were parallel on 6950 for a while, but they seem to have moved down to 6925 exclusively now.

I've heard Broken Wings by Mr. Mister, Some Like it Hot by Power Station, and now it's Madonna.

Decent reception considering how bad the band has been the last few nights. SIO 322

I have something on 6924.9 LSB, but its right at my noise level. It could be fishermen, but it doesn't sound like them. This is more one long running monologue of some kind. Does anyone else have a better copy?

I've got a very weak copy on someone on 6925 AM. It sounds like blues music, but its so weak I can't be positive. Does anyone else hear this?

Just caught the tale end of this transmission while trying to hear Radio New Zealand. Numbers in sets of five ending with "null null null null null".

Oh good, the nonsense of 14.313 is spilling over onto the pirate bands. This cannot be good. Personal names, phone numbers, and callsigns are being given out. Ugh...

Someone just signed on, played KT Tunstall's Under the Weather, and signed off. Signal faded down to an S4 but peaked at about an S8. No ID given.

Loud AM signal here in Iowa with techno dance music. I heard a partial ID but the second word was beeped out, possibly by morse code dash or something. Vacuum ? Radio. Off abruptly just before 2200 hours.

An SDR recorder catch from last night. Came on a few minutes before the top of the hour with Satan Radio ID and death metal, followed by the awful sounds of what must sound like a demon being purged from a possessed soul. Short show that ended around 0214 with a SSTV scan. Nice signal into Iowa, pulling about an S9 on RadioJet, but with some deep fades. SIO 434

On the air with some sort of comedy clip, where a vampire is interviewing prospective women for possible STD infections. Comedy track called Hillbillies in a  Haunted House. I've heard a couple of IDs, but couldn't quite make them out. Band is pretty noisy here tonight. SIO 323
