Russian nameless free radio station (ex 8001 kHz) is testing again on 7605 kHz (AM) 24 hours a day till May 5th (Moscow time)! Non-stop instrumental tracks are in the program. TX: 10-15 W, with a new NVIS loop antenna.

Students' radio station of the Moscow Technical University of Communication and Informatics (MTUCI) Radio Zelyonyy Glaz (Radio Green Eye) starts regular transmissions from Moscow, Russia on Fridays from 12.00 till 15.00v UTC on the frequency of 25900 kHz (AM). TX output power is 400 W, antenna is 5/8 lambda on the height of 45 metres ASL.

European Pirates and Private Stations / Russian free radio station tests on 8001 kHz

Some Russian free broadcaster is testing continuously on 8001,3 kHz in AM till Monday March 11th (Moscow time). Program: instrumental (mostly classical) music and (probably) some announcements between tracks. Signal already was heard in Kiev and Togliatti. TX output: 12-15 W, dipole at 2 meters height. Name of the station and contact info are unknown yet.

HF Beacons / OK0EPB on 7039,4 kHz

Licensed (sorry for the off topic) but interesting "standard time-beacon" station, driven by pendulum situated in the vacuum chamber, was established in Czech Republic.

The pendulum with a rod made of fused quartz is oscillating with a frequency of 0,5 Hz. Position of the pendulum is controlling by the IR sensor, signals from which are driving the CW transmitter on the frequency of 7039,4 kHz with output power of 10 W. The maximum difference of time signal is held in the tolerance of 0,1 sec.

These signals are good audible here in Kiev at local evening time (e.g. 1600 - 1800 UTC), but often with a QRM from near frequencies. Narrow filter is necessary for a comfortable reception.
