Blues music at 0300z. SSTV at 0302z. Around S3-S4. SINPO 25433.

Thanks for the broadcast! :)

Spanish language content at 0252z. Peaking over S9 at times, but it is not a great copy due to comparatively low and narrow modulation.

I suspect it is Radio San Antonio from Peru as it sounds like religious content, though I suppose there is a chance it could be La Montana Colombia. Both are reported as 1KW non-directional stations.

Heard at 0228z on 7/17/21. SINPO 35422. Decent signal strength at times, but comparatively low modulation and strong fades.

Signal took a dive to slightly above the noise floor at 0233z. Intermittent nodulation heard, but too far into the noise floor for decipherable recovery.

Apparently back or still on the air. Averaging S2-S3 at 0207z on 7/17/21. SINPO 15421. Modulation of music is present, but it is a difficult copy, especially on fades.

Modulation dropped well into the noise floor at 0224z. Very faint carrier in the waterfall remains.

BTW, before I forget again, thanks for the broadcast! :)

Equipment / Re: Best MWDX antenna?

I have been doing SSTV captures on 20m in recent days, so I am thinking about deploying my S9v18 that has been collecting dust in storage.

Then again a 20m dipole is not exactly a large antenna to deploy, either.

Decisions.... ;)

Music at 0150z. Peaking ~S5. SINPO 35433. ECSS USB tuning used.

Thanks for the broadcast! :)

Music at 0144z. ID at 0145z. Around S5. SINPO 35444. A few fades and static crashes. Good modulation.

Thanks for the broadcast! :)

Music at 0133z. ID at 0135z. About S6. SINPO 35444. A few fades and some static crashes, but otherwise an easy copy with strong modulation.

Thanks for the broadcast! :)

I spotted the higher frequency as well on that SDR, but the websdr there is via a RTL-SDR so YMMV on images, spurs, etc.

Received here via a Airspy HF+ Discovery. Initially I spotted the "center" at about 13950 with it being approximately +/- 25KHz wide, so yeah about 13925 if USB. Thread title updated.

Went off air at 0115z.

The S9v31 is back vertical. Stripped the antenna wire and the jumper to the unun. Twisted the two together. Added a couple of wraps of electrical tape. It is now working. :yay:

I need to properly solder and heat shrink the connection, but it was getting dark outside. Maybe over the weekend.

Also have most of the coax to the two active miniwhips lawn stapled down.

It is currently present at these websdrs, too.

Constant. Appeared awhile ago. Still present as of 0014z.

Tell them to jam RHC.

Radio Rebelde almost could be a jammer here. Often I can receive it via common mode on a few feet of coax less long an actual antenna. Its harmonics can create various images on inexpensive receivers connected to a decent outdoor antenna.

Likewise on the US side, Radio Marti on 6030 can be just about as bad at times.

I do not really keep track of utility stations and similar, so someone else will have to ID if possible, but I thought the waterfall was interesting.

Noted the Cuban QRM across a good chunk of the 40m band here.... and apparently only the 40m band. Quickly skimmed a few other bands. No jamming noted on 80, 20, or 10.
