Totse, very very very very very very very weak here, though that is not surprising.

Signal strength is somewhat like Dak's morals

I'd like to know if anyone has heard activity on or near 6881kc that sounds like inverted SSB. I'm hearing it tonight, and have heard it before.

Echo One respectfully asks how old Captain Radio is. "kc..."? Wasn't that a term last used by radio ops on Noah's Ark *chuckles*

Radio Merlin with something of a weak signal here in the UK. I suspect DJ Paul is aiming more at Europe then the UK. Very weak signal, actually, with some periods of losing the signal through the noise

1158 - Come Feel The Noise
1201 - ID and chat email: radiomerlin@blueyonder.co.uk
1201 - Bang a Gong
1205 - ID and talk

5
Odynn Radio heard from 1808 onwards (though he'd been on for some time before hand)

S5/6 in the UK.

Played a song for me at 1817 and addressed me as Mr Echo One

1826 - "Penny Lane" The Beatles

6
Pink Panther Radio on the air most of the afternoon, I think certainly from 1445

Playing a mixture of great songs with a shout out to me at 1530 and 1534

1603 - "I want to Break Free", Queen

1614 - "Radio Gaga", Queen

1627 - "Ghostbusters"

1640 - "Thriller", Michael Jackson

Just happened to glance at my Mini-Profile on a thread I'd posted in and saw something alarming - When Did I Become A Senior Member?

This scares me. The next thing I know, I shall be a Hero Member and an Administrator!

Sign on at 0712 UTC with PSK31 ID: "You are tuned to Radio lotse here on 6925 USB  Our broadutst is   bout to bgeo please stand by", then into music, rather faint, but audible.

First SSTV at 0728. Scottie DX mode:

Having keyboard issues, Chris? *chuckles*

I heard it faintly this morning my time, but I don't log it in my files as I know why its called TOTSE and I don't agree.

If you go to a few PWC's ago, Chris L mentions what TOTSE actually means - I supplied him the info. It is the sole reason why I do not log this station

XFM on 6940 AM mode  with some sort of modern kind of music.

0211 - Time check and ID

0213 - Shout Out to me and Dimbulb

0214 - ID and mention of Sequin stereo

0214 - Male vocals

0219 - ID(?)

0220 - "Imagine" by Perfect Circle

0224 - ID and DJ chatter

0224 - "Take the World" by She Wants Revenge

0229 - ID and mention of some sort of radio

0229 - Male Vocals

0245 - ID, chatter and mention/shout out to me

0245 - Male Vocaled song

0252 - Golden Earring - Twilight Zone

0257 - ID and explanation of time checking

0258 - Depeche Mode - Policy of Truth

0308 - ID and quick DJ chatter

Question - why do pirates now give time checks?

If only XFM would play something I actually know  that isn't modern or rap... Some Queen would be nice! :D - I was born in 1988, XFM (but I know all the Queen songs anyway). I think the first band I followed was the Spice Girls.

E1 claws his way to the computer to salute XFM and shut down the PC before I fall asleep and drool into it. Thanks, good Sir, for all of the tunes - even if I didn't get most of them at all... Also want to thank you for the many shout outs you gave me. Hope to get a QSL card

Spy Numbers / Not A log, But...
« on: October 15, 2013, 2159 UTC »
I was hunting around and found this picture supposedly of the inside of the Pip control room

http://files.radioscanner.ru/uploader/2012/img20120325.jpg

Looking at the picture suggests it was taken very quickly due to the image sloping slightly, the rubber gripper on the pen on the log book, the tossed down mic and the uniform belt in the lower left

UNID pirate on 6920.4 AM playing old time music from the 30's and 40's...

Heard over the static at S6 via a Wa (washington?) remote

0109 - "Blue Skies" - Irving Berlin

~

Same signal on 6980

Still going as of now

And off air at 0121

« on: September 22, 2013, 0016 UTC »
Just got a QSL from RGI showing the Citidel of the Time Lords in what might be 3D for his 21st Sept broadcast.

Thanks OM!

(now if only the image wasn't as big - I could upload)

Sign on for RGI with Doctor Who theme... I think its the original version as opposed to any other variation over the years.

Moments before there was some kind of CODAR over the top, but I am not sure of this was related or not. I was sat there for this reason when he started up. I am feeling quite pleased to be the first here to log him this morning ;D  ;D  ;D

#

0056 - UNID instrumental (some talk over it at 0059 concerning receivers)
0101 - RGI ID in CW
0101 - Some singing, but don't know the song
0105 - More CW
0106 - More chilling out music...
0112 - Brief off and then on with some kind of pounding techno/dance
0114 - Brief off and then audio clip from the Doctor Who episode "Parting of the Ways" at the point where 9 regenerates into 10 and used the episode's end credits merging into the full 1963 era credits
0117 - Multi mode SSTV
0120 - Off

Thanks for the show, RGI! Great to log you for once
