heard in progress w/usual strong signal strength S9+20. Message ended at 5:34, carrier on until 5:43z

back at 5:44z then parallel on 6165 with S9+60 (!) strength. 5855 off at 5:47. 6165 still on. I think 6165 should be RHC English at this time.

5855 back on at 5:54z but not parallel with 6165.
5855 gone at 6:01z
6165 numbers over at 6:10 carrier stays on , numbers back at 6:17
still going at 6:45z
off at 7:02z carrier off at 7:03z

I should think this transmission was heard by alot of people since it took the place of Havanas English broadcast.

Also heard in progress on 9065 khz at 8:17z

good catch. This is Voice of Korea in Korean , I've also seen it listed as Pyongyang Broadcasting Service. its 50 kw from Kanggye,  North Korea. It's non directional so I guess it targets the south or maybe this is what North Koreans hear on their untuneable radios that only recieve one station. I've read about North korean police shutting off power to buildings in Pyongyang & going door to door checking to see if people have contraband video tapes or cd's in their players or have tuned the built in radios illegally.

I caught the end of this b'cast this morning. I heard that it was always jammed by North Korea but I never hear any jamming.signal. I guess you have to be in North Korea to actually hear the jammed signal. They might not have the power to run the jamming station also. I would think this one would be high on the list of programs that the north would want to jam as it is about abducted Japanese citizens in North Korea.

Congrats on scoring an R 75. I hope it works out for you. I am sort of renewing my dx'ing hobby & bought a new R75 & a Satellit 750 last month & I am very pleased with both of them.

Excellent reception this AM from Pyongyang English service in absence of usual HUGE signal from Maine WBCQ on 9330.  S8-S9 here. WBCQ gone from 9330...WHY? I'd rather hear North Korea than gospel "huxters" as Glenn Hauser calls them. Pyongyang does wear thin after a while though. parallel 7570 and 11710 not heard at all(weak hets on frequencies).

English service "China Drive" via Beijing with good reception // 9570 (Havana). a little splatter from 9735 Taiwan in Japanese. I prefer 9730 over the much stronger 9570 because it has that cool "shortwavey" propagation echo that reminds you that you're hearing a signal from the other side of the world that isn't really meant for you. If I wanted perfect reception I would go to the internet feed.
