6030 was likely Radio Marti via Greenville.

Heard weak in Missouri. I'm using my ATS909x & 30 meter wire as I sit on my front porch & saw this post just in time to tune in the last few minutes. I switched to USB to monitor when the carrier went off as I lost the modulated signal in the fading. Carrier off at 14:30 as per Aoki.

Thanx for the heads up , skeezix

I am a huge OTR fan & I've had this show in my collection for a long time but only got around to listening to it last night. I'm pretty sure that I got it from the Old Time Radio Researchers library    http://otrrlibrary.org/    When i joined several years ago you had to have a "library card" in order to listen to or download programs from their huge collection but I don't think that is the case any more. It is from April of 1945 so it is near the end of the war & it is heavy on the war effort vibe that was so prevalent then. If you dig OTR you'll like it or if you're a hallicrafters fan or even just a ham you might find it interesting. It is also here    http://archive.org/details/1945WgnHallicraftersHour     in case the OTRR link won't allow you to play it w/out joining. If you are into otr & haven't checked out the OTRR group it is awesome. They have something like 50 or 60 thousand shows available for free. I haven't seen any other episodes of the Hallicrafters hour but this one says it is the ninth in the series. Its basically a 30 minute commercial for Hallicrafters with some music .  I'm not sure why it is called the Hallicrafters Hour as it seems to be only 1/2 an hour long.

After a little research I think that this show is not the ninth in the "Hallicrafters Hour" series but ninth in the series called "America Unlimited" & it might be the only one featuring Hallicrafters. this would explain why I have never seen any other Hallicrafters Hour shows. It is funny how they talk about how wonderful hams are to the war effort although they were not allowed on air during the war years. I think most amateurs were reduced to SWL'ing during the war unless they were actually in the service.

Most of the usual 19 meter suspects that I hear on dx dog walks were absent tonight. Missing were  Radio Australia on 15515//15240//15160 & RNZ on 15720. I did hear a couple of new ones though

Voice of Korea Spanish service to Latin America on   15180

BSKSA   Saudi Arabia    strong on 15170

I heard RML while walking the dog. Weak but mostly audible on portable with only whip antenna.  Van Halen & others heard at 3:05 - 3:18 utc.

Shortwave Broadcast / Re: CNR1? 6315 AM 1155 UTC 23 Sep 2013

I've found a few CNR1/firedrake jammers on seemingly unused frequencies lately. Most notably 21710 from 13:00-14:00z. That one was on for about three weeks every day until last week when it disappeared. 21710 is an RFA freq but only from 5:00- 6:00z.

I keep the memories in my ATS909x stored in a very haphazard manner & I usually just use the page that I have labeled  "A13 GOOD" because that one & the following one have frequencies for stations in English at 3:00 & 3:30 utc, my usual dog walk time. Every night I tune through about 15 freqs  in the order that they are stored (1-9 on one page & 1-6 on the next page). This gives me a rough idea of propagation conditions. Anyway, I have had 13600 stored in the "A13 GOOD" page for a couple of months but never hear anything on it. I could have looked it up but decided to just keep checking it until the propagation gods smiled on me & I heard a station on there. Tonight as I tuned through the memories,  Turkey on 9515, Romania on 7350 New Zealand on 15720.... I found an English accented OM playing a sort of top 40 type show on 13600. The station eventually ID'ed as RSO. I could have just "Aoki'ed" that fucker 2 months ago but it was way more fun to just wait until I could hear it, knowing it was likely an English language service that is on at 3:00 UTC or else I wouldn't have stored it where I did. I really have more fun going old school with my dx'ing than when I use my SDR & immediately look up frequencies in SW Skeds or Aoki. I also heard good signals tonight from BBC (also via Oman) on 15365 & Iran on 13650//15470.
Sorry to get all rambly there , I could have just said: 13600khz  3:00z Radio Sultanate of Oman

S9+10 in Missouri. Listening on sat750 with temporary wire tossed into a nearby tree while I sit on my porch & play my acoustic 10 string guitar. Sex Pistols "Anarchy in the UK" at 23:25z. Nice audio on a slightly noisy band.
