good signal in MO with Queen ZZ Top & others. First heard at 00:22 utc. S9+10 most of the time.

Most of the info that I have read about the station has been via DX listening digest yahoo group. there has been some discussion as to the transmitter site there. Most of that thread is in the most recent DXLD #13-36 under **Rwanda (non) at http://www.w4uvh.net/dxld1336.txt
The previous DXLD also had some background on the group sponsoring the broadcasts.

I think now after re reading most of the info I just cited that Issoudon is the likely TX site & not Bulgaria. Apparently the station has been heard in our part of the world. I just need to remember to turn the damn radio on in order to actually hear it.

For two weeks in a row I have gotten up on Saturday with the intention of tuning in this new clandestine that is directed at Rwanda. Each time I get up & make coffee & begin perusing my New York Times & completely forget about the damn radio until it's to late. Any way this is a new station that started broadcasting on shortwave two weeks ago & it is sponsored by a monarchist group that I think are located in London. The likely transmitter site is Kostinbrod(Sofia) although I've seen speculation that it could be Issoudon. I'll try again next Saturday. 17870 from 17:00 - 18:00.

I caught the last couple of minutes of this on portable as I set out on a dog walk. Good signal for the 2 minutes I heard it.

Steady S9+20 on Sat 750 & longwire. Also heard while outside on ATS909x with fair signal, although it rarely registered on weird little S-meter on that radio.

They went off about 2 seconds after I tuned in at 3:08. They came back at 3:11z with "Call me" by Blondie & then off again. Great signal while it was there.

only Voz Missionarias on 9665 tonight & last night. I wonder if they are on a different freq or have they just given up on the western hemisphere in advance of quitting HF in Jan 2014.
Since posting this I have seen a thread in DXLD that the Moldova site has stopped all VOR broadcasts. VOR is still on other freqs & times but not very audible here in NA. It is the end of an era & I for one am bummed out.

Utility / 4XZ CW marker & traffic 6001 khz 8/28

I've been meaning to post this for a week now. 4XZ, Israeli navy in Haifa was heard banging away in Radio Havana's side band a few times last week. I'm not sure but I think they have been there before. I can't find any mathematical solution to explain the signal so I am guessing it was real. They have turned op on 5000 khz in the past also. Since this is RHC we're talking about I at first assumed it was just another screw up from them but I recognized the ... VVV 4XZ 4XZ... even though I don't copy morse code because I've heard it so many times.

Carrier was audible on my portable while I was outside. I tuned in mere minutes before sign off. No audio heard on barefoot ATS909x though.

I heard this too. I tuned in just as I began my nightly DX dog walk at 3:00z & apparently was just in time as it was gone a minute later. Quite strong signal here in MO.

I was listening to VOR on my ats909x (I have to either listen in USB or tune up to 9667 to avoid the het fro Voz Missionarias) & heard what seemed to be a MW ID at 3:09z "...this is Radio VR 1430" the station seemed to be slightly different from what I normally hear on VOR. The male announcer sounded American to me. He was interviewing a guy from Israel about the possibility of taking back Obamas Nobel prize. He had to cut the guy off abruptly at 3:20 as they went into what sounded like more standard VOR programming for 2 minutes of news headlines & then back to the American sounding guy with more news. markets & weather from "world capitals" that included Los Angeles (the capitol of
