I am by far no expert but wouldn't this be an odd frequency for FAV22?

first noted while I was sitting on my porch with my guitar & laptop saw wolverines signal on Twente websdr & turned on my portable to find him at S9+10. Great signal & great show as usual. the signal on Twente is about S7 with occasional ute qrm.

634
I could detect the carrier on my portable as I walked the dog but no audio. At home RTN is about S8 amidst lots'o' noise. Suzy Q now at 3:59z

Heard on portable while walking the dog from 3:19 to 3:45. fair signal on barefoot ATS909x pretty good on peaks but gone completely on fades. The signal never did register on the funky s meter (the thing I hate about that radio is the weird bar graph s meter...useless) but was quite strong at times.

The article seems to be saying that RTRS facilities within Russia will shut down but Foreign partnerships will continue. 9665 &  the previous B12 freqs are foreign partners aren't they? We'll see what happens

Unfortunately the foreign partner that is relaying VOR is also shutting down shortwave. In fact the shutdown date was July 1'st. I think they are already shut down. Bummer

First noted at 3:19 during DX dog walk with ATS909x. I thought there might have been an ID at about 3:26 but as I tried to adjust my grip on the radio right at that time I accidently engaged the "AUX IN" button on the left side causing the audio to stop. That is one thing , really the only thing I hate about that radio. It happens when I hold it in a particular way. the signal on the UN'ID was pretty weak on the barefoot portable & was occasionally lost in the noise.

Recheck at home on satellit 750 & 30 meter random wire finds RML at S9+20

The idea of China using two stations to jam one might be correct as I noticed that happening on the Chinese jamming of Voice of Tibet today.

I tried to follow these guys again today via Twente as I pretended to work in my office. It gets sort of confusing so hang with me.

13:05z  Voice of Tibet is on 15563 & CNR1 jammer is on 15560
13:18z   VOT is still on 15563 but now  CNR1 has moved to 15565
13:40z   VOT moves to 15568 & also comes on 15548  CNR is still on 15565
13:44z   VOT on 15548 moves down to 15542 & CNR1 stays on 15565 but now there is a noise jammer also on 15565
13:48z   CNR1 moves to 15570 & the noise stays on 15565
13:50z   CNR1 comes up on 15540 in addition to 15570 & the noise on 15565
14:00z   VOT shuts down 15542 & CNR1 shuts down 15570
14:01z   VOT stays on 15568 past the normal close down @ 14z   CNR1 comes back up on 15570
14:05z   VOT moves down to 15562   CNR remains on 15570   the noise on 15565 shuts down
14:29z   VOT modulation shuts down on 15562   CNR1 shuts down 15570 & replaces it with noise ( the noise might have been there all along & I didn't notice it among all the other stuff)
14:31z   VOT carrier goes off 15562   Noise stays up past my last check at 1440z at which point I had to stop pretending to work & really knuckle down & work for 5 or 6 minutes of the 8 hours I get paid for.

I can't wait to do this again tomorrow.

While I am pretending to work in my office I am checking CNR 1 jammers & FD via Twente. I find 13795 to be in synch with 13830 & before the TOH 13530 both of which are definitely CNR 1.

yes they do qsl or at least they used to. they used to ask for signal reports & gave a hotmail address & a PO box # in Taipei. This was about 10 years ago. Also the correct name for the station may very well  be "star star". New in Chinese is "xin" pronounced "shin" & star is "xing" pronounced "shing" so there is some confusion about it. Chinese is such a complex language with tones making a word have a different meaning. I remember now seeing the station called "star star" about 15 or 16 years ago. Easier to just call it V13.  Here is an interesting article about the station:

I've had the same confusion about this frequency. It sounds like FD at times & then later it is most definitely not FD but it is Chinese music (I think). I see GH log it daily as FD, but I am starting to doubt it.

A very cool radio war (or maybe just a police action) going on with this station & the Chinese jammer.

Heard via Twente at 13:10 on 15563 with a CNR 1 jammer on 15560.
30 minutes later I find Voice of Tibet on 15568 & the CNR 1 jammer is on 15565.
At 13:50z Voice of Tibet is now on 2 frequencies 15563 & 15568. The Chinese jammer is temporarily off & it returns a few minutes later but now its on 15540 (??). Also find a sort of noise jammer on 15550 that I have always associated with China.

At 14:00 they are both gone.

This situation needs some more monitoring. I have noted the situation before but have never really stayed on top of it & nailed down who is where at what time.

Is anybody familiar with this:

http://www.crosscountrywireless.net/sdr-4.htm

I am starting to get the itch to spend some money on radio stuff. I'll probably just get a Wellbrook. Maybe a Wellbrook & a perseus.

645
Heard very weak here in MO. peaking at S4. almost lost in the noise

4:23z  Ronin is at a steady S9+10 now. great signal.
