i just turned the radio on about 30 seconds before the show started. Recognized the signal immediately as RML. Johnny Cash tunes & then Helo came to pick op from the Research vessel. Great signal as usual S9+20 at the end.

heard weak carrier on portable while dog walking. Visible carrier on SDR at home but not much audio...pretty noisy tonight.

 at 6:15z Recheck on Satellit 750 using built in whip & RTN is audible pretty steady. On the SDR with a 30 meter horizontal L I can only get the carrier with almost no audio. What the hell, man?

Somebody is still on 6940 now..at 7:35z. I can't get much audio but the carrier is plain to see.

Heard on portable with weak signal. Jumped up a bit at about 3:24z & I heard ZZtop followed by a Pabst commercial. I never heard an ID though but as I was walking along with my dog I suddenly exclaimed "ah, gotta be man cave!"  My neighbors thought I was pretty weird before so I don't think this will make much difference.

heard really freakin' loud while walking home & then while walking the dog at 3:00z. by 3:10 I was looking around for the transmitter ...it was that loud on barefoot portable. Seriously though I have never picked up PPVR that well before. Thanks for the weird show.

Are you sure? all frequency listings that I have seen say Radio Mashaal is on from 9:00utc - 13:00utc. Not sure why they would have Westminster Chimes either. KBS is on 15360 from Wooferton from 18-19 utc but that is in Russian. Might need further monitoring.s

Heard well in KCMO until sign off with Red Mercury ID at 4:51z. Noted in progress at 4:10. Heard Led Zeppelin tune at 4:20.

I heard this weakly on my ats909 while out w/ the canine beast. I was able to get some audio when I coupled the whip to a stop sign that was far from the streetlights. Really suprised to hear him on a portable as I've had lots'o'trouble hearing him on my "good" radios. I measured the freq on the 909x at 6919.5. Seemed best around 3:30z , towards the end. I have the sdr recorder running & hope for a better result from that.

I have finally settled on 3:00z as the best time for my dx dog walks. Not only is it cooler then but there are quite a few English language broadcasts at that time. Last nights log:

3:00 UTC listening with ATS909x with built in whip antenna.

7350 khz   Radio Romania w/ news into music program. fair to poor. //9645
9515 khz   Voice of Turkey  TOH news. Good reception
9665 khz   Voice of Russia good signal but annoying het from Voz Missionarias. Het can be avoided in USB or by tuning high.
15515 khz  Radio Australia  news & talk with very good signal. This frequency starts English at 3:15z //15160 fair/poor   //15240 fair/good  //15415 very weak

3:30 UTC

13650 khz  Iran 'Voice of Justice' English program. Fair reception, much better on // 15470.

You heard these with Voice only? That is pretty unusual for them. I am aware of only one recent log of the Cuban number station with voice only. I think you missed the data part. HM01 starts with a 2-3 minute callup with voice only but then switch to voice/RFDT after that. I heard a few of these broadcasts & they all seemed to be normal "Hybrid mode". See my log below about the weirdness on 9065/9240 at 9:00 utc.

They usually move to 9240 at 9:00z but last night they did another hour on 9065. What the hell, Pedro?

Within a minute of my posting this they dropped off 9065 but never did show up on 9240.

Real strong here in KCMO S9+20 signal with great sounding audio too.

I noticed an e-qsl from RML as I was listening to the HFU shoutouts he did in this show. It was a pretty exciting minute or two.
