I'm a UK ham, so can transmit on 70MHz

I use this-

It's crap but gets me on the band.

When I hear 'OIRT FM' stations from East Europe I know the band is open...

Sorry not thinking straight there! Maybe the intended recipient was merely in South Korea, and could board a plane?
Perhaps less suspicious than someone traveling directly from North Korea?

I wonder why the wider press didn't pick up on it? Or maybe the source really was
of poor quality? Guess we'll never know.

The person who supposedly decoded these transmission appears to be in Britain, and the message traffic was purportedly about a British and American targets. But, these transmissions cannot be heard in Britain.

I'm sure 'FVEY' have listening stations, located near Korea.

This has to be a controlled leak from government agencies, released for their own reasons?

The ability to decode D-STAR, P25, NXDN and dPMR digital (conventional) modes sounds interesting,
as the AR-DV1 doesn't live up to expectations (apparently). I own the IC-7300 it's lovely bit of kit.

Out of interest, what is everyone now receiving in place of France Inter on 162?

Has anybody confirmed  '162kHz, TRT Radyo 1, Agri Turkey, 1000kW'

I can see a carrier, I but can't make out any music/voices

I notice Mirfield Electronics do a Quad Band 6m/4m/2m/70cm colinear  (ME64270)

It might perform slightly better on the FM broadcast band. 4m being 70MHz

It works well, it takes a little getting used to the separate windows, but definitely a bonus for SDRPlay owners.

The Ultra wide-band SDR receiver from www.dxpatrol.pt looks great if you can stretch to ~$110.
