Good signal with some fading, but overall very good. Haven't had time to go through the whole recording, but started off with movie/radio dialog mentioning Alzheimers.

Was cruising around this morning in ISB mode and came across some morse action - I figured this was out of place for the band and sure enough when I looked at the latest E2k newsletter M08a is scheduled for this freq./time slot.
I'm not a cw guy, so don't have the number groups, but was able to record it. A couple of things to note is there is still some cw you can hear that's much weaker in the audio after the main cw tx stops and you can also hear a windows 'ding' before the transmitter shuts off (which had some hum throughout the tx).

Equipment / Palstar R30C internal speaker

Does anyone have an early R30 that can tell me what's actually marked on the internal speaker (part number, brand, ohms)? I removed the internal speaker a few years back and would like to find a replacement or an upgrade possibly.

Checked the receiver just before crashing last night & caught Channel Z's Japan DX test broadcast with an overall decent signal...listened long enough to hear Gary Glitter, ID and tx frequency as 11428.
Sorry for the lack of details, but didn't log anything - any SDR folks get this?

07:25z on with Madonna's 'Angel' & could hear someone with a British accent saying something, but can't make it out. About 50 seconds into the the song, same guy with accent says "..cut it..." and everything goes quiet.
07:26z back on with same Madonna tune played for a bit.
07:27z the Madonna song fades out and another individual without an accent says something followed by "..Dude!.." & then something about data?
