My shack was filled with RFI devices with computer, TV set, fluorescent overhead lights, etc. Ferrite cores were on cords and had a minimal positive effect. Real Frustration City. Constant S8-9 noise.
Came into a TRIPP-LITE Internet Office UPS battery back up, surge protector, and FILTER, for $8 at a Salvation Army. Pluggd the radios in...and noise level dropped 3db. Noise signal about S5 now. What a difference.

Wow! What a signal----Every night it's been blasting S9+20. Any idea of it's QTH and power output? Hopefully "someday" it will move.

02:22 just came in the door* ....'turned on the radio and caught the tail end of the SSTV followed by a V E R Y L O N G masterful medley of song snippets with the theme of LOVE in each one. Signal was an S15-20 during the SSTV and an S9+ during the audio portion.... sounds like I missed alot... off at 02:37
