Yup, I can do 17 late afternoon or 40 early evening. I have to work in the early afternoon but I can be on any freq and time after 2200GMT. Just let me know where when and I'll be there. I'm VE8NSD.

Anybody want to try Sunday afternoon? Anywhere on 15-17-20 is OK by me. No big contests this weekend so there should be a clear freq no problem.

What's the CURRENT situation with Andre Ampre?
I'm sorry, I had to get that out of my system.

General Radio Discussion / Re: Pirate dream

In my favorite dream I'm on the old tonight show with Johnny and Ed. Rosie O'Donnell is also there, blathering on about some dumb sh*t. So I take a 20 pound Northern Pike, and swinging it like a bat I smack her right in the pie hole with it. Sarah Palin and Tina Fey arch their backs and coo seductively. Johnny and Ed exchange high fives. After the show we pick up Dean and Sammy and head over to Hef's. The next morning I awaken feeling strangely refreshed.

One of my favorite moments came very early in the strike when some fans suggested that the Stanley Cup doesn't HAVE to be for the NHL, perhaps the College teams or WHA could play for it. Made sense to me.

Had a pretty good S-5 copy in Northern Canada. Caught the end of the program where over the air recordings were played; I heard Anne Hoffer. Thanks for relaying a great show!

I used to talk Pirate stuff with hams, even mentioned it on my QRZ.com bio. The bunneh bunch took that as proof that I must be a well known Pirate relay service and set out to destroy me. They devoted an astonishing amount of effort to it and are still poking around webpages and facebook accounts. So now I'm more careful who I talk to.

Had a poor copy in AM, thought they were gone. Back in SSB with slightly better copy. Tough copy at about S-2 over S-1 noise.

Nice strong S-5 signal now with very little QSB. Hearing Gangnam Style.

Just tuned in to hear someone on. Currently playing Styx "Too much time on my hands".
Nice S-3 signal over a fairlt quiet band.

163
Got a crushing signal in northern Canada. Gave ID, email addy a few times. Currently playing a jazz program.

164
If I sweep by on SSB I can detect the carrier. If I listen on AM I hear occasional waves of music then QSB. I can't pick out voices and thus I can't ID but there is definitely someone transmitting there.

He's moved to 6955 now.
