I just thought of this; it's GREAT! The largest non-nuke explosion ever? How about Commander Cotton Tails head when he learned of the existance of Radio Yellowknife? Ah ha ha ha!

Ah. It made for facinating reading. I was alive for many of those blasts, remember a few, never heard of many.

Wasn't the blast to get rid of those rocks by Vancouver Island bigger? I forget what it was called but there were these rocks in the ocean. By Campbell River. Huge hazard to ships. They tunnelled under them, placed MANY tons of explosives and went bang.
Correction. I looked it up. Ripple Rock, 1958. Largest non nuke.

I have them again tonight, as well. Not as strong as usual but this is earlier then I usually log them. I imagine it will build in strength as the evening progresses.

Nice clear, strong signal into Northern Canada. Bluesy type song, typical "Wolverine Radio" I.D., then into '60's type pop song. Nice to hear!

(Personally, I think he's jealous because I'm so much better looking than he is)  :D

Wouldn't that make him jealous of pretty much everybody, including Rosie O'Donnell and Carrot Top?

On a seperate but related topic; has anybody seen the rewriting of history going on now at the Furreh Radio Network site? There's a thread just started about how it wasn't part of the pirate war. Uh-huh.

I mis-identified this as Captain Ron in an earlier post. Sorry 'bout that.

I didn't wait for an ID but it sounds like the good Captain. On a research vessel tonight, all alone. Looking at the Southern Cross. Into an AC/DC tune. Strong S-5 signal, great audio for SSB.

Typical strong signal and great audio. Pro sounding I.D. then into the C.W. McCall classic "Convoy".
