North American Shortwave Pirate / Re: Radio True North 6925 AM

Nice strong S-5 signal. Still the best audio of any pirate, sounds pro. Hearing Don Henley "Boys of Summer".
Heard later with Bob Seger "Against the Wind" and solid S-9 signal. Talk of shutting down at the bottom of the hour, in 15 minutes.
Why is it Canadian pirates sound so darn good?

Look Why do we have to worry about what another person said?
Can't we Forget about Commander Bunny right now and worrie about Joplin,MO?
If you live'd there would you want people Causing un-need'd drama or geting off there computer's and doing what every they can to help?
I think it's time everyone Put on there Big Boy pants and Step up to the plate and help these many people that have Lost ALL they have or ever had to this Devastation!
It really makes me kinda pissed off when people are buried under homes and rubble.. People homeless and ya guy's are pointing fingers and bad mouthing othere people.
What Has Commander Bunny said about you?
Well enought of my talk...
Catch ya later...
Considering that you came here from the Furrey Radio Network site and have only been on here for a few days and have already tossed around words like "monkey boy" and "big boy pants" don't you think it may be wise to read more and post opinions less? Most of us put on our big boy pants and came here so we would not have to deal with Peter Cottontail and his various aliases. This is a nice site, leave the furrey stuff on the furrey site. Johns been here longer then us; he gets to post what he wants.

Hi Doc John...
I'm just outside Dayton in a little town called Englewood. A bad scarey storm just went over. There's a tornado warning. The power has been out 3 times. The TV keeps showing the emergency warning and alert. The hotel front desk just called to put me on alert to vacate. This is scarey sh!t man. I'll keep you posted.

I have a weak station in the noise. If I use SSB I can hear the beat of the music but not enough to I.D. anything.

Nice S-5 signal, hearing Iron Maiden "The Trooper" as I write this.
*** UPDATE*** Someone on The Furrey Radio Network site I.D.ed this as Renegade Radio
PSE QSL if possible to MapLRadio@gmail.com

Several of us bailed on the Furreh Radio Network site because every freakin' post was by or about Peter Cottontail and his sock puppet Bunneh Boys. I believe that they (he) enjoy all this attention. Why don't we take a page from their (his) operating manual and just ignore them (him)?
They (he) effectively wiped out any discussion of NRS on that site, even though recent devolopments indicate that THEY (he) were the aggressors. Can't we make this a fur free zone? Just a thought. BTW, Guise and John, I love your blogs. Many of us are happy to be part of the torch carrying mob while you guys pound on Frankensteins door.

Hearing male voice, occasional music about S-4 with S-4 noise level. Have to turn to SSB to hear anything but can't I.D. the words or music.

Gone 15 minutes later. Not sure if they shut down or if propagation changed.

A huge signal here, always a pleasure to hear Doc John.

A well endowed young girl goes to the physician for a physical. He places the stethoscope on her chest and says "Big breaths".
"Thankth" she says "I'm only thixthteen".
A classic.

General Radio Discussion / Re: Psychology of Behavior

The analogy is very accurate, but it makes me sad. I was just one of the many monkeys who got beaten. The end result of all this is that nearly every monkey is now scared to try to climb the ladder. Not only because we may get hosed or beaten again but because it's never entirely clear who is doing the hosing or beating. Or why.
There are so many people who would gladly post here and on the Furry Radio Network site. but we're simply tired. Pirate radio used to be fun. So thank you, John Poet. We can live vicariously through you. You have guts.

Absolutely CRUSHING signal here. S-9 with strong modulation, a very theatrical sounding male voice reading some serious sounding stuff. Into a different program, somewhat weaker at S-5 with lots of echo making for difficult copy.
