Saw a suspicious signal on the SDR waterfall and jumped on it in time to catch the last half of a greyscale test pattern with no ID.

Fired up again @1934, big S9+20 signal, biggest signal in the band by far, but still just a grey bar test pattern with no ID.  (There was a presumed CW ID at the end, but I don't speak CW and I didn't record it.)

S7 here in FN11od, ute almost stepping on the lower sideband, ECSS puts it at 6875.705.  Also, band periodically being hosed by a radar or something.

"Ghost Shortwave, Show #18" ID @2336Z.

33
Moonlight Radio ID under heavy static and peskie interference @23:48, now off?

S5 to S7 with occasional fades into the noise in central PA, "Won't Get Fooled Again" @23:36.

10/11 meters / Re: SSTV 27700 nov.1

10m and 11m are the hottest today I've seen them in a long time.  I was monitoring WSPR on 10 earlier and not a minute went by that I didn't log an overseas station, and usually quite a few of them.  Unfortunately, there are multiple 11m SSTV stations transmitting simultaneously so it all looks like crap.  I think I'm going back to 20 for SSTV, even though it's not pirates there should still be some DX.

As far as I know, there are no longwave broadcast stations on this side of the Atlantic.  I suspect you're overloading the receiver and hearing images of shortwave stations.

SSTV active on 14228 USB.  Their web page at http://www.qrz.com/db/W4G says 14230, but I suspect they moved down because Saturdays are the IVCA Net day on 230 -- although I haven't seen much of the net today.  They say they're going to be on 7171 also, but I haven't looked down there yet.

10 to 20 over S9 for me too, and over 3.5kc wide.

42
After much searching (no thanks to Yahoo's USELESS new forum system), I found the answer on the WXSat mailing list.  Apparently, as the satellite crosses from day to night it switches the visual channel to a near-infrared channel.

43
Barely above the noise for me, couldn't tell you what music is playing.  Prop is terrible today, barely even getting any stations on the 7MHz CW band which is usually wall-to-wall.

44
S9 with fades to S7 here, frequency maybe closer to 6924.95.

Oops, song just ended, nothing now...

I just saw a sequence of them on three channels between 27740 and 27770.
