That is pretty cool to hear. Interesting to know that no matter how advanced communication are, they still turn back into the old standby when it really starts to pour.

I didn't hear anything past 2:50. Looks like it had great coverage though.

Am hearing what sounds like new agey/spacey music above the static. Not coming in very clear here in Chicago, but I can tell something is there.

Equipment: Sony 2010 75 ft outdoor antenna

I am hearing music and voice on AM (with sync) on 6925. The band is all over the place tonight. Really strong unlicensed spanish operator on 6920. Signal is fading from poor to fair. 2222. Seems like the operator is doing lots of live mic talking.

1:45 Music, unable to make it out but sounded like Rock
1:47: Sounds like a new song
1:51: A new song, sounds like classic rock again
1:52: Voice (maybe an ID?) I cannot make it out
1:53: More music
1:56 Siren song effect
1:57 Heard "I want to talk about grammer" than talked about internets impact on spelling and grammer. Talked about people leaving poorly spelled comment on youtube where thousands of people will read.

Around here in Chicago that Cuban easy listening station is what I hear on 530 AM. I know there is a Canadian one as well.

Picked this one up as well 6925.0 AM. Started listening at 0:07 UTC and listened all the way to signoff at around 0:45ish. Great stuff. Great production and good oldies. Due to my age (late 20s) I am unable to identify most of the songs, I've heard them but don't know who the names of the bands. First song was the one that goes "doo ah diddy diddy dum diddy doo" Plenty of good IDs. Signal was great in Chicago, some noise and static made it difficult at points. Was really booming from 0:07 to 0:20. My power was out, but I emailed Paul Star with my blackberry. email given: macshortwave@yahoo.com

Picked up the station first with a slinky antenna I had outside (I was sharing the radio with my family, our only source of entertainment) and than I brought it upstairs to connect it to the wire antenna.

Shortwave Broadcast / Radio Kuwait on 15540 khz
« on: June 16, 2011, 1646 UTC »
Put up a new antenna yesterday (75 ft Wire Antenna) and picked up this station. Radio Kuwait's signal was booming... very very clear. Had American soul music for awhile, than ended the English broadcast (I made a video of the end of broadcast), followed up by what sounded like religious instruction. I went to the gym and came back and some Nigerian evangelical station was broadcasting.

Would love to find this online somewhere. If anyone knows please point me too it.

Spy Numbers / Re: Cuban Number Stations

I just noticed that the Book: "Uno, Dos, Cuatro- A guide to the Number Stations" by: Havana Moon can be downloaded; I was unable to do so in the past. It is older and this is yesterday's News for many; however, is helpful in understanding formats etc. for those new to this. See: Main Page...Spy Number Stations...See Also (at bottom of page)

Briefly listened to: M8 in progress last night  5900 kHz  05:30 UTC then went to bed.

I am saving myself for: V2a try: 5880 kHz 07:00 - 07:41 UTC with a repeat: 5900 kHz 08:00 - 08:41 UTC Daily schedule I don't know; however Solid reception was noted here on West Coast, and may be good oportunity to monitor. These UTC Times for these particular Transmissions may vary throughout the Country, I can't say for sure; however, would be interested in getting a sense for the coverage of these transmissions.

UTC doesn't vary, I know what mistake I made. I apologize for that!

Caught the very end of the broadcast. Just the Men at Work song (Which of course is now stuck on my head!). Great signal here in Northern Illinois (Rockford, IL right on border between Illinois and Wisconsin), very clear, good bass. Wish I would have caught more.

Equipment: Sony 2010, using a indoor Slinky antenna

I am sorry, am I reading this wrong? You say that 4:00 = 9:00 PM PST?

Thanks for the information, I will be checking around those frequencies. It has been awhile since I have heard a numbers station and would like to log one.
