QSLs Received / Re: Partial India Radio eQSL
« on: December 21, 2015, 2314 UTC »
Two different QSLs received for this weekend's show.  Thank you Harold and Sanjay and may Vishnu always look favorably on you.

I have their carrier on 6925.8 kHz.  The band hasn't fully opened yet, only S5 in NY.  At 1333 I hear the phonetic spelling of the e-mail address.

Band is starting to open now.  1335 The Kinks "Death of a Clown"
1337 ID, "Jay I Love Your", then "Tears of a Clown"
1340 Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel take a trip to the house of horrors on Manchester Drive
1355 "The Stroke"  Signal has improved to S9 now.
1359 Sign off in progress with e-mail address
1400 Carrier off

Unfortunately for me, the band has gone long.  Only S5 for me in NY.  Sounds like "Death of a Clown" at 2331 UTC.

245
Good S9+ signal and audio in NY at 2158 UTC.

246
Just checked my tuning, now I've got the carrier down to 6879.9 kHz.  A great selection of punk Christmas tunes, many being heard for the first time by me.  Thanks for the great show!

247
I've got them too, but I have the carrier closer to 6880.1 kHz, with a punk tune at 2115.  ID at 2116 as "WMID, John T. Arthur's second favorite radio station", S9/+10dB in NY.  Audio is clear, but could use a bit more bass.  Then into one of my favorite Christmas tunes, "Merry Christmas Everybody", but it's not the version by Slade.

248
Frankie Goes to Hollywood "The Power of Love" at 2034 UTC.  S8 in NY.  First time logging for me.

Playing Christmas music, S8 signal in NY with clear audio at 1355 UTC.  I was across the room with the radio on lowvolume when I thought I heard the announcer say "P.J. Sparx".  Now heard the "PRB 2015 Hoiday Special" ID, by Charlie Loudenboomer, and mention of a special QSL for this broadcast.  "Holly Jolly Christmas" at 1419 UTC, and another announcement by CL.

Tuned in around 1447, just in time to catch the ID, "This is a Radio Free Whatever Time Warp".  Nice strong signal and audio in NY, S8-S9.

I've got a decent S7 carrier on 6942.4 kHz in NY, but that's about it.  At times I think I hear some audio, but it could just be my imagination.  Anyone else receiving this?

254
Playing polka music, gravely voiced announcer speaking Spanish with an accent.  Mentioned Cuba and tobacco.  S6-S7 signal in NY.  Also well heard on the Twente SDR.  As per Iann's chat, it was Johnny Tobacco that I heard, although the announcer sounds a lot like Black Bandit. "Hey Good Looking" at 2347 UTC.

255
The signal was gone around 2307 UTC for me.  Their was a brief deep voiced male announcer around the top of the hour, but I couldn't even tell what language it was.  I did tune in on the Twente receiver, and it was not any better than my reception, so I'm not sure it is based in Europe.
