Playing some nice reggae, "Queen of the Ghetto" at 2327 UTC.  S8-S9 in NY, presume I am hearing XEROX. Forgot to mention that the carrier is on 6949.5 kHz.  XEROX ID at 2333 UTC.

Playing a version of "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" at 2306 UTC.  S9 signal in NY. Clear ID and e-mail address after the song ended.  Now talking about the collapse of the Berlin Wall.

Heard some weak music when I tuned in at 1232 UTC.  Shortly after I heard a male singer which sounded like Rod Stewart.  This was followed by a bluegrass/country tune.  Seems to have gone off around 1242 UTC.  S3 in NY.  I don't think the band has fully opened yet.

Heard a couple of songs by the Moody Blues earlier, but didn't note the time.  Now with "Roundabout" at 0102 UTC.  Band may be going long now, S7 signal in NY, but it was much stronger and solid about 15 minutes ago.

I have the carrier on 6950.7 kHz.

"Love is the Drug" at 2237 UTC.  S8 in NY with some static crashes.

I hear a man talking (probably Spaceshuttle) at 1333 UTC in USB.  Pretty sure he just read off a list of countries where Spaceshuttle has been heard.  S4 signal in NY.

I later found out that this is Association Amici di Italcable with 900 watts.  There are some YouTube clips which are exactly what I heard.

Since 1100 UTC or so, I'm hearing something on 15000 kHz which is puzzling me.  Just before the top of the minute, I hear 5 short pips, then one long one, followed by a voice announcement that I can't copy.  Right after that I hear "muzak", or some instrumental music.  This music seems to stop just before the pips, and has continued with this pattern for the past 20 minutes or so.

I hear this on the Syracuse remote radio also, so I don't think it's a local image or mixing product.

Anyone else hear this, or know what this is?  (It's been a very long time that I DXed a time signal station).

Thanks!

I also hear punk music at 0132 UTC.  Carrier is on 6950.3 kHz.  S7 signal in NY, but modulation is a bit low. Computer generated female voice ID at 0136, "This is Radio _________", but I couldn't copy the last word as the audio wasn't clear. Audio and signal are improving.  ID at 0141 UTC, "This is Radio Jamba International'.  "We Are D-E-V-O" at 0146.

I've got them here in NY too at 2313 UTC with an uptempo song I don't recognize.  S9 signal, SIO 444.  I agree the mod sounds a bit on the hot side. ID, announcement and e-mail address by Charlie Loudenboomer at 2315 UTC.  Mentioned songs by Passion Pit and Ra Ra Riot.  Next up is "Coin Operated Boy" at 2316.  Voice modulation sounded good, it's just the music that is slightly over-driven.  Song with male vocals at 2321 UTC.  Signal still nice and strong and steady, almost no fading.  "The Love Club" by Lorde at 2325 UTC.  Really enjoying hearing these "new" songs (at least for me).  Thanks CL!

2335 "Black Chandelier" by Biffy Clyro (it really helps that CL announces all these song titles)

All I have here on 6951 at 2242 UTC is a carrier, and just the faintest of audio.  Band noise is strong, with some pescadores QRM.  Maybe someone else will be able to ID this?  Seems like another carrier has also appeared on 6953 around this same time.

357
Can someone that made a recording please post the IDs and jingles somewhere?  Although Hugo's reception is good for a trans-Atlantic catch, there's not enough on his audio clip for me to tell who this was.  Thanks.

358
Tuned in at 0104, song by a female, "everybody knows"  repeated throughout the song.  S8 signal in NY, but there's a lot of static crashes tonight.  SIO 322.

359
Got them here too.  At 1223 tune-in heard "Beds are Burning", followed by several IDs and the e-mail address.  S5 signal in NY, very low noise, so reception is nice and clear this morning.

S7 carrier in NY, but can't make out the audio that well, as modulation is weak.  Maybe someone else will have better luck. Music at 2304 sounds like "ompah" music, don't know a better term for this.
