Via West Coast remote SDRs, all loggings after 0700 UTC 26 April 2017:

6609 kHz USB - Spanish language...I know this is an aero frequency but sounded like freebanders/fishing boat chatter (!!!)
6675 kHz USB - Spanish language, "I copy you" and other radio-related chatter.  Possibly freebanders - very busy frequency
6677 kHz USB - Asian-sounding language - very difficult copy due to Spanish traffic on 6675 USB
6725 kHz USB - Asian-sounding language, similar to traffic heard on 6725 USB but weaker
6729 kHz USB - Asian language, busy channel several stations in QSO
6785 kHz USB - after 6786.6 LSB disappeared, Asian-sounding traffic showed up
6786.6 kHz LSB - Portuguese, possibly fishing fleets
6790 kHz USB - Unknown language, very busy but weak signals.  Reminds me of "classic peskie" chatter, possibly Portuguese but not 100% sure
6838.5 kHz USB - Unknown language, Asian-sounding.  At least two stations having a QSO.  Decent signal strength
6884 kHz LSB - Spanish, active around 0709 UTC
6895 kHz USB - Spanish, weak

Not as much time to scan the bands this evening but wanted to make a quick log of frequencies and languages/users heard.

6868 kHz LSB - Portuguese
6885 kHz LSB - Portuguese language, fishing fleets (possibly) - getting creamed by STANAG 4197 data bursts at S9+30db
6890 kHz LSB - Spanish, weak
6895 kHz LSB - Spanish, likely freedbanders
6900 kHz LSB - Spanish, freebanders - primary frequency based on previous monitoring and logs
6900 kHz USB - Spanish, possibly alternate to 6900 LSB
6905 kHz LSB - Spanish freebander frequency - alternate to 6900 kHz
6915 kHz LSB - Portuguese (sporadic signal)
6925 kHz LSB - Portuguese
6930 kHz LSB - Portuguese, weak (some Spanish heard here as well - possibly two nets going at once)
6962 kHz USB - Portuguese
6965 kHz LSB - Portuguese, interfering with 6962 USB

AM carrier popping up and disappearing a few times on 6960 kHz, each time with a different tone modulating it.  Possibly somebody testing?

At 0200 UTC, a USB signal popped up on frequency with Tubthumping...then off the air, then a quick keyup in AM...then off the air again...AM carrier back on at 0204 UTC, then off...then USB signal back on with "Scatman".  Somebody's doing some testing it looks like.

6.925 MHz AM // 6925 kHz AM

Weak AM audio on 6925.0 kHz, with more hard trance/techno music (very similar to music heard on UNID station previously logged on 6912.5 kHz AM and 6915 kHz AM over the past several days).  SIO 222 at best on Ohio remote SDR RX.

1734 UTC - OM talking
1735 UTC - back to music
1749 UTC - YL vocals into harder beats
1757 UTC - CW - ID "TECHNOSENDER"    ("technosender" is German for "techno transmitter")
1758 UTC - music back
1759 UTC - more CW, repeated ID
1800 UTC - off

1265
Old Time Radio 6770 kHz AM 6.770 MHz AM with old time radio show (hearing YLs and OMs chatting away, "it's my pie!", mention of Camel Cigarettes, an American GI hero who killed 7 Japs with his rifle, thanks to his Camel cigarettes, 500,000 Camel cigarettes sent overseas to support our fighting boys overseas, more ads, then back to Abott and Costello) decent carrier audio right above the noise floor.  Strong two-way communications in Spanish a.k.a. peskies on 6771 kHz USB making copy in full bandwidth AM difficult.

1266
More Spanish language traffic (previously logged phone patches in Spanish on 6771.5 kHz USB and 6772.5 kHz USB but this one seems to be on 6771.0 kHz USB).  Old Time Radio on 6770 AM is coming in nicely tonight and causing QRM to the chatter on 6771 USB (and the chatter on 6771 USB is making listening to 6770 kHz in AM mode difficult.

Like higher frequency "peskie" loggings, these operators seem to be freebanders but its much harder to tell for certain.

1267
Previously logged April 6th, 2017 between 0300 UTC and 0400 UTC.  Due to QRM from VOLMET on 6754 kHz USB, actually listening to this traffic is difficult.  I think its Portuguese but dropping the bandwidth down enough to take out the strong signal 1.5 kHz away makes it basically, well, annoying as hell.  So another questionable logging.  This frequency has seen use before, despite its proximity to an active military frequency.

1268
Sounds like freebanders to me.  Ragchew-like "net" format of communications.  One of the signals identified several locations in Mexico (indicating at least part of the members of this group are land-based).  Another station is somewhat overmodulated and splattering over into 6960 kHz USB.

1269
Electronic music, S1-S2 signal

2037 UTC - DJ Dean - Play It Hard (Remix) with CW on top of it (??)
2038 UTC - massive fade down into noise
2040 UTC - faded back up, still hearing CW and trance music mixing together
2045 UTC - CW started rapidly shifting pitch...then back to where it was before
2103 UTC - CW stopped.  music continuing just above noise level
2105 UTC - OM talking over music

Off around 2111 UTC, right after 6925 USB came on.

1270
More hard trance / techno electronic dance music (similar to that heard on this frequency last night) 6912.5 kHz AM S2-S3.

1271
ZLM Radio New Zealand Maritime HF-SSB 6MHz marine frequency 6.224 MHz 6224 kHz USB mode received at 2:20 A.M. local time (0620 UTC) East Coast United States very strong signal SIO 444 which was very surprising.  High seas weather forecast for marine areas 6224 USB.

1272
Old Time Radio 6.770 MHz AM 6770 kHz AM best copy I've had them in a while.  Tuned in at 0615 UTC.  OM talking about the maid.  Then two YLs chatting with dramatic music, followed by a very rapid fade down to the noise at 0617 UTC.

Strange conditions this morning

1273
6.930 MHz LSB 6930 kHz LSB fishing fleets pescadores peskies 6930 LSB

These guys have been chatting for hours and hours.  It's now 0430 UTC and I first noticed them around 0000 UTC.  Portuguese, likely fishing fleets with stations talking over each other and single operators talking nonstop for 5-10 minutes at once.  Even though the band is mostly quiet (but still full of static crashes, etc) and the Spanish-speaking nets on 6900 kHz LSB and 6905 kHz LSB are long gone...even 6925 kHz LSB is quiet...this frequency remains very busy.

Peskies / Unknown Language 6820 kHz USB 0425 UTC 24 April 2017
« on: April 24, 2017, 0426 UTC »
Very weak chatter heard, possibly Portuguese.

1275
With some minor QRM from Unknown Name Radio Network on 6880 kHz AM.  Spanish language chatter 6.875 MHz LSB mode.

Two OMs talking with noisy band conditions.  SIO 222 at best.  Still chatting away at 0425 UTC.
