**Previously logged Spanish voice traffic on this frequency at 1315 UTC on 22 Aug 2017**

Hearing weak, but relatively clear, Spanish voice traffic communications traffic on frequency 6792 kHz 6.792 MHz mode USB.  Sounds like OMs talking.  Numerical callsigns.  "28" heard several times.  Casual QSO.  Weaker of the two stations is barely above the noise, whereas the stronger of the two stations is SIO 222 with signal peaking at S3.

Considering that both times I've heard traffic during the morning on this frequency is interesting.

6765 kHz USB, 6845 kHz USB and 6910 kHz USB all active in the 1500-1700 UTC time frame, various stations checking in from various agencies, numerous callsign formats heard, some with very very strong SIO 555 signals nice audio.  At several points, a carrier appeared on 6845 kHz (and then 6844 kHz), not sure if this was related to the net (a station tuning up, maybe?) or another station testing.

UNID pirate station
Frequency: 6880 kHz 6.880 MHz 6.88 MHz
Mode: AM (wideband!)

UNID 6880 kHz pirate station, S5-S7 locally with strong AM modulation (as usual) 10 kHz or so wide AM audio, pushing 12 kHz wide on the peaks.

1523 UTC - minor fade down to S3, then back up to S7, some selective fading
1525 UTC - Orgy - Blue Monday
1527 UTC - more selective fading (at one point, nearly the entire USB was gone, then LSB)
1528 UTC - Chumbawumba - Tubthumping
1533 UTC - Rachel Platten - Stand By You
1536 UTC - Live - I Alone
1540 UTC - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Otherside (more selective fading, but sounding like a broadcast station on peaks)
1542 UTC - "Otherside" cut off abruptly, then several seconds of dead air/unmodulated carrier
1543 UTC - "Otherside" back on for a few seconds, then back to dead air
1544 UTC - audio back for 1 second, then dead air, possibly having audio issues
1547 UTC - music back
1554 UTC - MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This
1624 UTC - Blur - Song 2

Hearing faint Portuguese chatter on 6925 kHz LSB.  It's a bit early for the peskies, but they're already chatting away on their home frequency (or one of their home frequencies).

Old Time Radio pirate
6770 kHz 6.770 MHz 6.77 MHz
Mode: AM

S4-S5 carrier level on OTR's usual frequency of 6770 kHz.  Bits and pieces of audio in AM mode, can hear it slightly better on USB/LSB mode...but still nothing that can be really made out.  Good propagation conditions tonight.

UNID pirate radio station 6900 kHz AM 12 Oct 2017
Date: October 12th, 2017
Time: 1620 UTC - 1720 UTC
Frequency: 6900 kHz 6.900 MHz 6.9 MHz
Mode: AM

Carrier popped up on 6900 kHz, hearing faint electronic dance music/trance music on frequency (very low level modulation at the moment).  Listening via Ohio and New York SDRs.  There seems to be a weak carrier on 6900.1 kHz that fades in and out, possibly a spur?  Whatever it is, it doesn't affect listening to the station on 6900.0 kHz.

1622 UTC - signal level now S4-S5 with 4-5 kHz wide AM audio modulation.
1624 UTC - some fades, bouncing between S3 and S4
1626 UTC - big fade (1-2 seconds) then back up to previous levels with hard trance music (no vocals heard yet)
1628 UTC - OM vocals heard now
1631 UTC - audio cut out suddenly
1632 UTC - audio back
1633 UTC - DJ Dean - Play It Hard (remix)
1638 UTC - OM vocals with lots of echo and pitch shifting, old school trance/hard trance
1641 UTC - still sounds undermodulated, YL vocals now
1644 UTC - some fading, sounded really good on a peak for 10 seconds or so with better modulation
1645 UTC - faded down to S2, then back up to S4
1647 UTC - DJ Tiesto track
1701 UTC - still going past the 1700z hour mark, signal up and down
1704 UTC - somewhat better signal on NY SDR (was listening on NJ SDR) with stronger modulation
1707 UTC - "this is the song of E" / "this is the song of ecstasy" OM vocals
1710 UTC - S3 signal with some fades down into the noise, carrier strong but modulation still not very good
1711 UTC - QRM from data signal (possible ALE sounding databurst) on 6890 kHz
1719 UTC - signal increased a bit
1720 UTC - suddenly off

6994 kHz 6.994 MHz.  SIO 222.  Spanish language freebanders or outbanders, operating just below the bottom edge of the 40 meter amateur radio allocation.  No QRM issues, as they're on 6994 USB, putting their signals in the 6994-6997 kHz range.

Have logged Spanish language traffic on 6995 kHz and 6999 kHz, among other frequencies that are very close to the bottom edge of the 7 MHz 40 meter amateur band 7.000 MHz 7000 kHz.  These guys are more than likely freebanders, have not heard any IDs, numerical, or even first names.  Sounds like two OMs talking.  At 1508 UTC, a third station "broke in" to the QSO with a much stronger signal and said "correcto correcto!".  Lots of people whistling into mics, etc.  The "third station" has heavily distorted/overmodulated audio...sounds like he's literally yelling into his microphone.  The other two stations appear to be ignoring him at 1509 UTC.  Now he's part of the "roundtable" discussion at 1509 UTC - 1510 UTC.

1511 UTC - mention of water shipments, not sure if this is coming from or relating to relief operations in Puerto Rico
1512 UTC - increasing noise level making for even worse copy :(
1517 UTC - tuned off-frequency for a bit, then checked 6994 kHz USB, QSO is still going strong
1518 UTC - more stations "checking in" to this "net", with signal reports and general ham radio like discussion

Peskies / UNID Spanish Language 6781.5 kHz USB 1500 UTC 12 Oct 2017
« on: October 12, 2017, 1503 UTC »
Hearing weak Spanish OM chatter on 6781.5 kHz (lots of logs in the 6700-6800 region, per FFM posts, some of these are Rural Radio Telephone Service and similar services coming out of South America).  Too weak to get a decent enough copy to understand what is being said, but language is Spanish.  Informal chatter...possible phone patch (or one side of a telephone conversation).  SIO 211.

850
Poor copy, but did hear YG300 / Yankee Golf 300 working another station, possibly airborne suffering from heavy over the horizon radar OTH-R QRM at 1459 UTC.

851
Logged traffic on this frequency (well, on 6838 USB) yesterday in the 1300-1400 UTC hour.  Not surprised there is similar traffic here at 1455 UTC.  One of the stations appears to be using 6837.7 USB while the other is on 6838 USB.

Peskies / UNID Spanish Language 6874 kHz USB 1450 UTC 12 Oct 2017
« on: October 12, 2017, 1455 UTC »
Hearing what sounds like a possible telephone patch on 6874 kHz USB mode.  OM talking to a YL, OM laughing at one of the things the YL said.  Could be a regular two way HF-SSB QSO.  Noisy conditions make poor copy.  Have noticed this frequency in use before, sometimes +/- 1-2 kHz for QRM or for no reason whatsoever.  6875 kHz also logged in the past.  As we know, 6875 kHz, 6876 kHz, and 6880 kHz are all popular pirate radio frequencies..

6905 kHz LSB 6.905 MHz LSB

Spanish speaking OM freeband stations, likely QSYed from primary outbander frequency of 6.900 MHz 6900 kHz LSB (alternate USB).  SIO 111 very poor copy this morning...but they are there.

1607 UTC.  Literally as I was typing "nothing heard on 6845 kHz USB yet" in the log for 6910 kHz USB frequency SHARES Region 6 SHARES Central Region net, a big (S9++) signal popped up on 6845 kHz USB - SHARES Northeast SHARES North East Region 4 net usually tun 1600-1700 UTC so the 6765 kHz and 6910 kHz frequencies are active earlier than usual.

Strong signals various stations from US government agencies and NGOs (specifically the American Red Cross) checking into all three nets in the 1600 UTC hour.

855
SHARES inter-agency coordination / interoperability HF-SSB radio net weekly net on 6765 kHz USB, 6845 kHz USB and 6910 kHz USB (and several others).  As usual, 6765 USB is the strongest signal, and 6910 USB is readable but considerably weaker.  Several stations switching between SHARES North (6765 kHz USB) and SHARES Central (6910 kHz USB) and checking into both nets.  Nothing heard on 6845 kHz USB SHARES Northeast net yet.
