What if we all wrote letters?  Think it would change this decision?  Worth a try?

If so, let's post the address and a sample letter here for those of us less creative to sign and send.

I'm still trying to collect on a $750 invoice I sent to Citadel for work I did getting one of their FMs back on the air.  They used to be my best paying contract.  Then suddenly, the quick payments slowed to a crawl, then eventually to my last invoice going unpaid for 6 months.  I call and speak to the local AP person, they tell me they sent it to corporate for payment and it still appears each month when they run the unpaid accounts report.  Still, I go unpaid.  I should have seen this coming.  I wonder if I am listed in the bankrupcy.

Like many pirate enthusiasts, I buy MT off the shelf, so as to keep my identity and address secure.

The pirate column was the first thing I looked at when opening MT.  I decided I won't be buying it anymore.  I am not abandoning MT magazine, they are abandoning me.

Good job on the K6FRC catch.  That beacon is a fantastic QSLer.

You must have copied SGCA in San Garbiel, CA on the other one.

I never go anywhere without a SW rx. The camping gear includes a fannypack with a YB400 and accessories in it.  Antenna reel, headphones, spare batts. alligator clipleads, ground spikes, etc.

KSM is on the air just about every Saturday from the former KPH transmit and receive sites using KPH's transmitters, antennas, and receivers.

See www.radiomarine.org

They have amazing engineers.

Awesome!  It's always nice to see some of the legal guys get a little joy.

If you need stealth, think about wire dipoles instead of any kind of directional antennas.

I heard a few D's in California.  I'm staying quiet about it before I start getting taxed on my radio signal reception.

HF Beacons / Re: Anyone include the HiFer band in their scans?

Wow!  Thanks for the report.

Amazing what a couple milliwatts into a hamstick will do on the 22m band.

HF Beacons / Anyone include the HiFer band in their scans?
« on: November 05, 2009, 1449 UTC »
Does anyone else include the HiFer band in their scans?

I have had a little action on the HiFer band, in addition to my own HiFer beacon on 13.565 MHz.

Speaking of the HiFer beacon.....  It just got some new double-shield Times Microwave coax, and it actually improved!  Now, I have to take some new field strength measurements to make sure it is still within limits.  There was a lot of leakage from my old cable which threw my previous readings off, so I suspect there is more signal in the ether now since it is noticeably stringer at my QTH 70 miles away.

Antenna is a hamstick on top of a metal building high atop a mountain with clear shot of the horizon in almost all directions.

But, if you don't need to turn it, the wire log periodic is a lot cheaper and will stand up to wind and weather a lot longer.  Besides, they look so dang cool.
