Have a close look att the Xtal 7030 MHz
and between XTAL and earth there is a diode.
Can you see it now? 😊

See figure in this link:

Try putting the diode in series with the crystal I this way:

---diod---xtal---earth

Did you get it? 😄

Try putting the diode in series with the crystal against earth instead. 👍

The 2SC2078 is an NPN BJT. The IRF510 is an N-channel FET. They are not even close to the same thing.

👍

Is it possible to replace 2SC2078 with an IRF510
or do these two work in different ways?

HF Mystery Signals / Re: 6505 kHz digital signal - mixed modes
« on: February 01, 2021, 0934 UTC »
8580 kHz is a common frequency for this signal, and is often paired with 4346, 6504 and 12982 kHz USB. They all carry the same message(s) over and over so they are believed to be either channel markers, propagation markers and/or information about status of other South African Navy working channels on the bands. 4245, 6407, 6493 and 8603 kHz are believed to be the above mentioned working channels and carry the actual messages because the length of transmissions may vary.
