Peskies / 6987 USB Unid Asian Language 0658 UTC 29 July 2018

I'm hearing an Asian language spoken by two or three men on 6987 USB on both my 50' long wire in Santa Barbara, Calif., and on the KFS SDR.  They do not sound like the Indonesian "chanters" who sometimes operate nearby.  Off at 0700 UTC.

Hi, their American accents were typical of what is called the "Oakie"/southwestern accent, frequently heard here in California.

Using the Token/Mojave SDR, I am hearing what sounds like several fishing boats on 6990 USB talking in American-accented English.  No locations given--references to adding oil to engines, and staying on the water "for another four hours".

On the Token/Mojave SDR, it is indeed on 7490.  Curiously, there is some weird reverb.  Every few minutes a word or syllable is echoed for several seconds. Nothing on 7470.

Edit:  I just checked your SDR, and there are two signals, 7470 and 7490. Both are YHWH.

On the Token SDR in the Mojave desert in California, YHWH is very strong, peaking at S9 at 0322.

At 0652 I am hearing weak CW--can't copy it... No music.

54
Am hearing rock--can't make out the artist. I am listening on Token's Mojave Desert SDR.

Here in southern California I am hearing two somewhat weak stations working each other in CW, at about 25wpm on 4190.  I can't copy much at that speed, except that the text is a mixture of letters and numbers.  Any idea who I might be hearing on 4190 CW?

Fairly good signal on a Mojave desert (SoCalif.) SDR at 0100.  Thanks, Wolverine Radio.

Utility / CW Numbers Station 6956 CW 0715 UTC 11 August 2017

While tuning for pirates tonight around 0700 UTC, I heard two stations sending and receiving numbers on 6956 CW.  I've been listening for Pirates and "Peskies" for several months, but never heard any traffic like this.   I recorded a minute and half of the end of transmission, and posted it on the HFUnderground Numbers forum-- https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,36619.msg136976.html#msg136976

Wonder how common signals like this are in the 6900-7000 range?  This is the first I've heard.  (Heh... maybe two broadcast pirates exchanging future programs?  ;-)

Tonight I was using the KFS SDR in Half Moon Bay, California, and heard an exchange of full-length CW numbers between two stations on 6956 CW.  I heard both the sender and the number-list receiver.  Both were using straight keys, and the sender's "fist" was a little rough, and slower than the receiver's.  When the sender's list was done, the receiver replied with PMEL DE DVV QSL 2K and the sender replied OK K.  I caught the last minute and half on a .WAV; see below.

For the last several months I've been listening to US Pirates and "Peskies" in this frequency range before, but never heard any numbers stations there.  Any idea who these folks are?

Chanter, thanks for the reply, but to my ears it does not sound like the various Spanish dialects I hear in SoCalif.   I posted the same question on another HFunderground forum, and was told the signals are from Indonesia.  https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,36488.0.html
