This is what I heard! Thanks a bunch for the post, I caught most of the ID but it was a stretch from my location.
I received the broadcast here in Honolulu, Hawaii 7/29/2011 at around 0530z on my Sangean ATS909 and Sony AN-LP1 Loop Antenna.
The frequency was 6925 USB.
I heard quite a bit of music, but it was rather difficult to decipher. This is the FIRST pirate show I've received since moving here from North America.
At the end of the broadcast the voices came in rather clearly compared to the music:
"WPOD, White Punks on Dope Radio, broadcasting via shortwave to America and the World," followed by mention of the world wide web. This was around 0545z. I thought it said, "Broadcasting via shortwave to America and the world wide web," but some may have been lost in the noise.
The signal was rather solid throughout the end, the voices literally came out through the noise. I wish I could have heard the music a bit more clearly!
Will keep on the lookout for more shows in the future.

Picked up something this evening, too hard to make out but definitely caught an ID at the end of the show, around 0548z...sounded like WKOC or WCOK radio, had man's and woman's voice and stated "broadcasting to you via shortwave radio and the world wide web," hard to make anything else out. Did anyone catch this as well?

Living in Honolulu now, was wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction? With the abundance of military areas and communications systems, I thought I may have a look around to find something interesting! Also any sort of fisherman communication, etc. would be interesting to listen to. Thanks!

I'll try listening for this from my location - I'm several hours away from Vietnam by car - so it should be a rather strong signal, shouldn't it?

Spy Numbers / 7.240 kHz New Star Broadcasting Station

Hey guys,
I'm listening to this one as I speak starting at 4:00 UTC on 7.240 kHz. Surprisingly, I was looking for Voice of Turkey's broadcast to Asia on the same frequency but the notable flute intro to the New Star station started up instead!
Coming through very clearly here at my location in Kunming, southwest China.
Will keep monitoring this frequency at the same time tomorrow to see if anything lines up. I've never heard them on this frequency in such clarity before!

Hey guys,
I live in Kunming, China. Should be familiar to most of you watching this part of the world as quite a few big transmitters are located here on the ourskirts of the city. As you can guess, Firedrake comes in LOUD and CLEAR here daily. It's more of an annoyance than anything, and it seems that some of the transmissions don't reach across the ocean because they're literally all over the spectrum.
It's cool to see some of you so interested in it - and I'd like to help out any way that I can, just let me know. Keep on keepin' on, haha.

I use it as well on conjunction with my Sangean ATS-909 and I must say for a small portable loop antenna it's fantastic. Far better than any random longwire antenna and really good at canceling out local RF, at least in my case. Wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!
The seller on ebay, "buy from japan" I believe - is selling NOS. These aren't being produced and haven't been in production by Sony for quite some time. Get them while you can! When I purchased mine from him 1.5 years ago I think I paid $90+shipping. His price is increasing steadily as his stock gets smaller.
Not perfect for pirate broadcasts but I have pulled in quite a few from Outhouse, WEAK, WBNY, MAC, etc.
