Headed to LV in a couple weeks; might try to get away from the RFI of the strip to hear some desert beacons. Taking only a Grundig G3 portable and possibly a rollup/portable antenna.

Knowing this is area is for HF and might not be the place to ask, but I figured beacon enthusiasts of all type might me found here ;-) if someone has a low power beacon list/link to point me to for this area, I'd be much obliged.

Also, radio enthusiasts in LV: is there a recommended area in town that's relatively low in RFI inducing signage and such, that a couple of SWL tourists could reasonably bus/taxi to?

Thanks!

Been off/on for several hours, pauses various tuneups and a sex pistols "Never Mind the Bullocks" set earlier - few gaps with strong empty signal during east coat gray line hours.

Have not logged precisely but the freq 8.899mhz should be distinct enough.

varied fades but SIO 343 from Central FL x last 2 hours.
