Weak to fair signal on the west coast...quite a few static crashes tonight.

But 7.38+ isn't for licensed stations, is it?

That is part of the 41 meter band, allocated for commercial broadcasting. Most pirates in North America use 43 meters, in particular from 6900 to about 6975 kHz with 6925 kHz being the most widely used frequency.

Given the frequency it was on, it was most likely a commercial broadcaster.

It had a good signal on the west coast but I got frustrated listening to the music constantly cutting off and starting up again so i turned the radio off...

0218Z Just faded up nicely out here on the west coast, up to S5 on peaks now.Playing music now, don't recognise the tune
0220Z All Along The Watchtower, Hendrix...cut out suddenly and into a blues harmonica tune
0223Z some CW, might have been PeeWee...maybe this wasn't Captain Morgan after all.

0022Z Weak on the west coast. Sun's just about to set out here, though, so it might improve after that.

Nothing heard here except for the other op that came on at 0041 with howling wolves.
And again at 0057.

Wolf howls were part of the broadcast but maybe someone else came on with wolf howls of their own...seems quite a coincidence though.

By all means move this topic elsewhere, but this particular pesky has been playing Ozzy and Black Sabbath tunes since 0200 UTC Including Crazy Train and Paranoid....
0216 UTC Playing electronica now...hmmm

How do you know it's a peskie and what is the criteria that says a peskie can't also be a pirate?  :D

I was parked on 6925 USB when that CW came up with a very good signal...I'm still CW challenged, so all I could get was the V V V 's. Thanks for the entertainment BOR ;D

It was just a little test to see what propagation was like...apparently, there was some  ;)

I had it hear too on the west coast with a fair signal. I think the song was in response to an ongoing discussion on the pirateradio chat about analog tape cassettes.

0141Z Just a weak carrier audible on the west coast.
