Sounds like he was running "Live Rust" for most of the show. Neilo and the boys do a killer version of "Tonight's The Night" on that album.

Sorry I missed the show.

The RF Workbench / Re: DJ Mixers
« on: November 13, 2013, 0624 UTC »
Try pawn shops in around your local Cracktown. I see a ton of mixers in those places.

I recently bought the el-cheapo RS mixer to use as a patch bay. It does that job well and could be pressed into service as a back-up mixer. It's small but you need a wall wart, unless you want to buy a bunch of 9 volt batteries. It has four mic imputs to boot.

It works for what I want it to do and came in at 26 bucks, new.

Huh? / All hail Comet Fansome!

The newly discovered "Six Tailed Wonder of Space".

The comet was named after famed scientist, Alluvial O. Fansome, as it's six tails reminded the discoverers of Professor Fansome's six toes. (three on each foot.)

Bullet holes? Okay, people... Who armed Pigmeat?

My Grandaddy when I was 4.

If you leave one those antenna things sticking up in the air, it's going to get shot at. It's only sporting that you aim for the transmission line.

If you're looking for spectacle and danger, I suggest hunting pole pigs with 12 gauge slugs. Your ears are going to ring for life, but it's worth it.

Nah, those lap ornaments are Pinay Pom-Pom Queens. You never been to the Philippines? The place is overrun with 'em.

Just Al.

He's got a thing for penguins, too, but never ask many questions about Al's obsessions. It's not prudent.

The RF Workbench / Re: Bicycle Mounted Piracy...

RF in the bike's frame would be the main problem, IMO. The frame will behave like RF ground. Anything on the bike is going to be part of it, including you.

They clearly don't like Haitians.

Chanter, 1620 is a sports station from South Bend, Indiana. If you don't already loathe Notre Dame sports, this station will do the trick.

W807, eh? That might explain the het I get there when I use my loop in that direction.

As the backside of the loop was pointing roughly at South Florida, I was thinking it was some of the ethnic pirates that fight it out down there on 1710.

Sunset there is about a good hour behind your local sunset. They were probably still running full power when you heard them.

Did it 10 years ago when he was still alive.

I always found it ironic that Reed said he wrote "Waiting For My Man" while listening to "I Wanna Hold Your Hand." on the radio. Talk about songs geared for two vastly different audiences.

Someone had to replace Earl W. Muntz.

We're going to rename Fleming House, Mad Man Manor, next fall. A 100 foot bronze statue of Earl will tower over it.

Physicist Thomas Rosenbaum was named as the new President of CalTech yesterday.

You blew it,Al. You were a lock for that job, but no, you had to reach for that one Coke Zero can in the back of the dumpster, didn't you?

After three days with no response from you, they had to move on with the process. How were they to know of your knack of getting stuck in dumpsters?
