Shiny side out, Al, shiny side out.

In the spring Yahoo announced it was going to be eliminating a lot of seldom used email accounts. My guess is that's what's going on.

I did happen to see an non-redacted map of Area 51 before it was released the other day. Plain as day was a rectangular looking structure with the following notation, "Al Fansome's trailer".

Al keeps his jammer on top of the foil that line his hats. Says the foil gives the device 50 dB of gain.

Thanks for the tip Al, but my cranial ridge is much more pronounced than yours. That comb-over thing doesn't work for us high-domed types.

And just after the paper was sold to new owners to boot!

I built one of his "Green Radio's" about 15 years back. Not a bad xtal set, seeing that you rolled your own tuning caps from two pop cans, plastic overhead slides, and some aluminum foil tape. (toilet paper tubes for the coils, of course.) Desoldering braid was used for all major connections.

As I already had 2000k headphones,it was all of two hour build.

"Flip?" Isn't that what you call your comb-over, Al?

6083
Al, you should get a pill caddy so these medication mix-ups don't happen so often.

6084
Now you know why I keep a Fansome reprogramming hammer at the ready, Lex.

Aim for the dent in his skull.

It must be related to the FBI virus I've been hearing about.

The RF Workbench / Re: Liquid cooling solid state

I saw part of the former amp of a notorious high powered pirate years ago. Solid state device mounted on a copper plate with with a copper tube attached to the back, as stated above.

I was told there were several of the devices in the final, all water cooled. When the guy quit pirating he parted sections of the amp out.

Type "Broomstick Antenna" into your browser. They perform well and they're very easy to make.

It looks like a a variation of the K9AY Loop. The K9AY Loop is a proven DX performer from MW well into the HF bands.

Lol.

Nothing like watching someone try to pill a cat or clip its claws. Anyone who tries it, is asking for what they get.

Lex, I meant to add Live At the Fillmore East, but I figured I'd posted enough albums.

I saw the Allmans in either '71 or '72. Duane was still alive when I saw them, but he hit that peach truck shortly afterwards. They invited the crowd up on stage for the encore. I've never seen anyone do that in a large venue since.

I still haven't forgiven Gregg Allman for giving up Dickie Betts to the law when Allman was under the influence of that she-beast, Cher. She replaced Jane Fonda as the most hated woman in the South over that one.
